I genuinely believe it has the potential to be an all-time great fantasy film series or TV show, intelligent and completely unlike anything before it while still being epic in scope and exciting for audiences. It's already linear, self-contained, and incredibly cinematic so it really wouldn't require any major changes to adapt. It'd be a great fit for the non-DCEU prestige films WB wants to do with movies like Joker, The Batman, and potentially the Ta-Nehisi Coates Superman movie (if that's still happening...), and it'd be absolutely amazing to have a separate out-of-continuity WW live action universe a la Matt Reeves' Batman.

You could also do something mid-budget, since it really doesn't need any over-the-top, bloated CGI. Sure you'd need some creative CGI work for Olympus but the vast majority of it would be all about great makeup and costume design. Get some of Guillermo del Toro's people in there.

Sadly with the current political climate a film with any connection to the source material would probably get review-bombed and called "woke garbage" by right-wing trolls. But one can only hope...

Like DeConnick said: Don't count them out just yet--especially now that the series won not one, but TWO Eisner Awards!

I'd really dig an animated movie/series that had different art styles for each section.

Unfortunately, it'd need a budget so that disqualifies DC's animation house.

Has a Wonder Woman series or a creative team working on a Wonder Woman book ever won an Eisner before?

Jill Thompson won an Eisner for Wonder Woman: The True Amazon a few years ago. I'm not certain if anyone else has ever won one.

    Yes actually.

Most recently Jill Thompson won 2 awards (Best Painter/Digital Artist + Best Graphic Album: New) in 2017 for Wonder Woman: The True Amazon

    Before that there was:

    Best Colorist

2004 - Patricia Mulvihill Won for Batman, Wonder Woman and 100 Bullets (to be honest it was probably because of 100 bullets and Batman)

    Best Letterer/Lettering
(Todd Klein won every year for 15 years straight except 1997. These just happened to be 3 years where he was doing WW)

2003 - Todd Klein for The Dark Knight Strikes Again, Detective Comics, Wonder Woman: The Hiketeia (DC); Fables, Human Target: Final Cut (DC/Vertigo); Promethea, Tom Strong (ABC); Castle Waiting (Olio)
2005 - Todd Klein for Promethea, Tom Strong, Tom Strong's Terrific Tales (ABC); Wonder Woman (DC); Books of Magick: Life During Wartime, Fables, WE3 (Vertigo/DC); Creatures of the Night (Dark Horse)
2006 - Todd Klein for Wonder Woman, Justice, Seven Soldiers #0 (DC); Desolation Jones (Wildstorm/DC); Promethea, Tomorrow Stores Special, Top 10: The 49ers (ABC); Fables (Vertigo); 1602: New World (Marvel)

    Best Cover Artist

1993 - Brian Bolland for Animal Man; Wonder Woman (DC)
1994 - Brian Bolland for Animal Man; Wonder Woman (DC)
2003 - Adam Hughes for Wonder Woman (DC)

    Best Comics-Related Book

2001 - Wonder Woman: The Complete History by Les Daniels, edited by Steve Korte (Chronicle Books)

Jen Bartel also just won Best Cover Artist for Immortal WW and Black and Gold this year!

Also this is what Gene Ha has to say about vol. 3 - every new crumb just gets me so hyped! And poor guy doesn't give himself enough credit. In any other circumstance he'd be getting praised to high heaven but being sandwiched between Phil Jimenez and Nicola Scott (both of whom got into comics JUST to draw Wonder Woman) both putting out career-best work is a rough deal.

Could have sworn Rucka did for Best Continuing Series in the early-2000s but looks like a brain lapse on my part. He was just nominated and won a lot.

Jill Thompson and Paquette won Eisners thanks to True Amazon and Earth One

Also, Rucka won the best writer during the start of his run

There have been some more nominations, tho

Nope. Paquete won a Shuster for Earth one, but only got a nomination for an Eisner.

Rucka won 4 Eisners, but none of them were for Wonder Woman. He did get nominations for Wonder Woman tho

Um, it's true. Weird that he wasn't nominated for his work on vol.3, which was literally ashtonishing

Jill Thompson did win it, tho. I hope we see her more on wonderfam comics, given her work on 776, the Coronation spetial, and that she said on an interview that she wanted to return doing more work on the ongoing
