I wonder if 4-6 books are greenlit when they might announce it. Or maybe that won't be the case and the book will tell us

Poison Ivy has been expanded from 6 to 12 issues.

No word on the other six issues of the Eisner-winning Historia yet.

Looks like issues 7-8 already have finished covers and it’s a monthly that was set to end in November so I wouldn’t read into what it means for Historia. Especially knowing that Phil and Kelly Sue were kinda pissed about how far in advance the series was announced.

Either way I’m happy for G. Willow Wilson and I’m always happy to see more successful female-led titles!

Oh, I'm not saying it as a dig against G. Willow. She's a friend. I'm just saying I'm waiting on the Historia announcement, if it ever comes.

Gotcha. And chile, having you been reading Poison Ivy??? It's so good. G. said it was inspired by the Annihilation film.

I have been and my first thought was that the mushroom spores reminded me of Annihilation so makes sense! LOVED the first issue, but not gonna lie the whole “vegetarians bad because agave syrup so Ivy is a carnivore” thing in issue 2 sat really poorly with me and I kinda checked out through the rest of it. I should pick it back up and catch up though, again really loved everything else.

Kelly said they aren't worried about numbers and they sold out. That must be a sign

Also she was talking about wanting to see if she can get a Hera statue done

I’m really enjoying Poison Ivy. I wish more villains could get as solid of a story.
