That animal is absolutely astouding, but the cover itself doesn't really scream "Wonder Woman" or even "The Amazons". It feels more like a Dungeons and Dragons painting.

The wait was worth it for Wonder Woman Historia: The Amazons, as the debut issue of the Black Label series dived deep into the mythology of the Amazons in what can only be described as a breathtaking epic. DeConnick crafted a jaw-droppingly gorgeous, millennia-spanning story with art from Jimenez that feels like each page should be hung in an art gallery. The creators are firing at all cylinders, in what's likely their career-best work. The book is truly an incredible achievement.
