On the one hand, I don't like Plastic Man and it's a little frustrating that he's getting a mini and gets to be part of Teriffics simultaneously while Ralph is nowhere to be seen. On the other hand, Gail Simone.

Hmm. I'll have to think on this.

Well, this was slightly unexpected .

It's nice to see Simone writing another major DCU title, and I think she'll fit Plastic Man pretty well, plus the premise sounds fun .

I can see the complaints about Plas getting a series over the other Terrifics, but I think the fact that it's a mini instead of an ongoing kind of alleviates that issue.

I'm guessing some of the villains involved will be Luthor, Brain, Calculator, Poison Ivy, maybe Ultra-Humanite and Sivana...

I'm also judging from the art that we're getting an Eel O'Brian flashback?

I had hoped to see a teamup of Plastic Man and the Elongated Man in a RECURRING mini. But this might be a good first step in that direction.

I wonder if that blonde on the cover is a new character or somehow related to Penny from the 70's cartoon? And I just remembered didn't Plas have a son pre-Flashpoint? It would be interesting to see him used.

Yeah, Plas had a son Ernie who went by the name Offspring. He's been recently used in Injustice.

I thought she was a dolled up Agent Morgan for a second there.

I guess Eel disrespected the lady and is getting a handful for it...

Gail is the perfect writer for a Plas series and Adriana Melo is always welcome anywhere she wants to draw.

Of the four, Plastic Man is probably the most logical one to go with.
And Simone could be a good fit.

Simone equals instant buy for anything she writes for me. I'm still hoping she gets a high profile Fresh Start book though.

i like how Gail is pointing out that Plas was the original comedic superhero. he was Deadpool before Deadpool. i think Gail's dark sense of humor will work great with Plastic Man. plus her mentioning of him being "bawdy" is good wording. Plas isn't a perv, but he does like the ladies.
