i was never a big fan of 2099, and i didn't notice anything enticing in the april fool's day sale, which is actually kind of nice -- i spent way too much last week during their F4 sale.

marvel seems to do these digital sales right. dc will do about one per week but i swear it's just a rotation of the same five or six things (exaggeration, but...). i'd kill for dc to do a .99 cent sale of an entire batman, superman, detective comics, or action comics run (i realize their are still gaps in comixology's database) like marvel does all the time for their long-running books. or a justice league sale with 600+ books available. or whatever.

the shazam! sale last week was nice, i admit.

In fairness, while their sales aren’t usually as good, the DC Christmas sale was great. Practically all their trades were reduced, and by a significant margin. It was the best DC sale I’ve ever seen on Comixology.

    Yes.

I thought about that sale when I saw earlier comment.

I started a thread on it, in classic comics rather than DC section, because I was primarily interested in old material, and because there was also some interesting stuff on offer at same time from other companies.

The DC section of the sale certainly included a lot of Batman material...I picked up the Jim Aparo/ Bob Haney Brave and the Bold omnibuses, for example. And encouraged by the prices tried some new stuff that I would not have considered at full price/ (e,g, New Superman, which I really enjoyed.)

It doesn't help "immediately", of course...but it does show that it's worth looking at DC sales on a weekly basis, that the odd gem does come up from time to time.
