This story feels iffy. I'll remain skeptical until someone other than bleedingcool reports on this. If this is true, it's a huge fucking bummer and I hope it doesn't affect the rest of his run on Detective.
Previewsworld also has the change for #982.
However, #983 is still listed as " 'On The Outside' part two!" at present.
Bryan Hill already did https://twitter.com/bryanedwardhill/...23712263450625
I'm not saying the story is fake, clearly something is going on if they have a cover art but it seems just seems weird plus i find bleedingcool to be quick to report rumors or misreport a story. So I'll remain skeptical until a more reliable source reports it or we hear from Bryan Hill, Miguel Mendonca, or DC directly.
Deacon Blackfire...hmmm. Will give the preview and reviews a look.
Blackfire's resurrection by Tynion/Snyder in New 52 was not done well and just tended to push me (not irretrievably) towards thinking Blackfire was better served left dead in awesome amazing The Cult.
Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft
Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”
Supporting LION FORGE COMICS and other independent publishers.
Check out Lion Forge's Catalyst Prime Universe. Its the best damned superhero verse in comics. Diverse characters and interesting stories set in a universe where anyone can be a hero. And company that prides itself on representation both in the comics themselves and in the people behind them.
Oh my goodness gracious! I've been bamboozled!

Kudos to Hill for handling the troll in the comment section.
Who seem to claimed Dc only hired an all black team to do Michael Cray's book.
Never mind Bill Sienkiewicz, Steve Buccellato, the colorist & editors are not black.

Sounds like we're finally getting the announcement next week. And right after Tynion's run finishes with an issue which may have major changes for a team member? Funny that.
Also, this is just too great.
