Taxes and other extra fees I imagine. I don't know the details of what has been/will be decided.

Because they will finally leave the EU fully at that point, putting extra costs on import into EU.

It will basically be the same as ordering from the States. So whatever taxes or duties your country applies to graphic novels from the US will be the same as those from the UK after 1 January 2021 (assuming you're living in an EU country).

Yeah you are most likely correct.

For my country, I'll have to add 25 % VAT and a fixed fee of around £250 for "handling" the package in customs.

Jesus, were you a lunar crewman who got left behind or something?

Might as well have been. But no, as you can see above, I'm simply Danish.

Received the Dan Slott She-Hulk from Amazon today. Took a gamble ordering from them, and, well...

Not that I had expected a different result, but once in a while, I order from them again in the hopes that their handling and packaging has improved. Not yet, though...

I've contacted them right away, expecting a discount.

Why discount? Ask them to give you a free return label and send you an undamaged product.

They're out of stock and I don't want to wait ages for a replacement to be sent - only to perhaps find it even more damaged.

I got a 25 % discount, which is fine. Though I'd much rather have had an undamaged copy from the beginning.
