I got a 25 % discount, which is fine. Though I'd much rather have had an undamaged copy from the beginning.
Ah, ye, that's a difficult one. I guess it depends on the price too.

I pre-ordered it a while back for ~€43 including the rather high VAT here (25%). The price would be more than twice that now - so if they cannot deliver a new copy and instead simply have me return the book for my money back, I'd be losing out on a great deal.

Yeah, been waiting a month for the Batman by Dini omini, but they did say it's a "special order", whatever that means.

I did order a book from them by mistake (thought it was a different book), and I requested a cancellation right away, but have no idea if it'll go through or not.
Has anyone had experience with canceling an order from CGN (before it's even shipped)?

    Thanks for the damage, USPS!
And thank you amazon for using ZERO cushion/padding to help prevent inevitable damage...

I was planning on maybe getting some books from IST next week and I was looking over their international shipping options. The cheapest one will take 14-21 days until my package arrive. If I just pay 2-3 dollars more that time will get down to 2-4 days.
Now, I don't mind waiting extra long for my books, but would if be safe to assume that the longer my books are in transit, the higher the risk of damage?

IST has the best packaging out there. If you're willing to wait longer, I would have a high degree of confidence that your books will come as picked off their shelves. If anything, I would be a little more nervous that your package literally falls off the boat or something if its taking 14-21 days to get there. 2-4 days is probably going by air most of the way.

I took a gamble and ordered a few omnis from Amazon cause they were sold out at my preferred sites. Both actually showed up in good shape despite the lack of protection. Not sure how many times I want to roll those dice, though.

I placed an order on the 31st of December with Booksetc. It still hasn't been shipped. I heard from a friend that there are lots of people who don't get their orders from them since a while (het heard it on facebook). That isn't my experience. But I've read some problems here. Are tgere also people here who don't get their orders shipped or delivered?

They have become extremely slow to ship their orders during the last several months. It's one of the reasons (but not the only reason) why I will no longer shop there.

Bear in mind btw. that due to Brexit, you may now have to pay extra VAT and handling fees when importaing to an EU country.

I've placed and order on December the 7th...
2 books, one arrived within like 2 weeks (UK, but it was Christmas period so whatever) the other is still pending, despite it being available to purchase and says ships within 2-3 working days.
