    Diana was born a long time after they were exiled. And being who they are, those historical figures they knew about would be more the opposite of role models.

    Sorry I misunderstood the OP’s question. I was thinking what historical or fictional character have creators used for inspiration while writing the characters over the years. Because obviously there have been people who wrote Superman as a Christ/messiah figure.
