I was wondering while watching the episode, it would be ruthless if something tragic happened to Ona, like getting hit with those disintegrating laser rifles, but holy SHIT they did far worse!
Brainiac look's awesome
So, General Zod is Superman's uncle then?
Didn't see that coming.
I like Zod being Superman's Uncle. It adds an interesting wrinkle to their complex relationship.
It also makes him and Jor-El brothers (or half-brothers?), so it potentially gives them a kind of Cain and Abel dynamic...
I wonder will the DCEU keep this chilling interpretation of Brainiac, or will they tone him down for their movies?
Well, the only time I have seen Zor-El as an antagonistic figure to Jor-El was in Smallville. Most of the times that I have read them, they are on good terms.
This episode feels like a season finale. But I still want to know if Brainiac always has to do all these things whenever he captures a city, or if this is a special case because Kandor has a lot of problems and he wanted to create order among people, in order to keep his future bottled city safe for his collection.
The thing with Zod being the uncle of Kal El is not set in stone though. Everything he is doing is trying to alter time, and he has already created a wedge between his mother and Seig. In trying to save Krypton he may be driving his parents apart before he is even concived. We could be watching a few episodes down the line and Zod could just fade out or they could switch actors to show that the time line was altered.
