    Default Marvel Strike Force

... is about to (officially) release on Android and iOS.

It'll be nice to have a new Marvel tactical squad fighting game.

I loved Avengers Alliance, but it had a rough time transitioning to mobile and because the X-characters and FF-characters were grandfathered in, Disney/Marvel didn't show it any support and decided instead to pull the plug.
Hopefully, with the X-Men and FF embargoes behind us, we' ll see better support from Disney/Marvel this time.

And I understand that you can have teams of five, so no stressing over which three members of a favorite team to use.

Right on time, I say. I've been growing tired of Netmarble's BS with Future Fight, so I'm certainly looking to give this a shot. I already preregistered months ago.

It's Marvels version of DC Legends. Same basic game.

Actually, it looks to me to be more Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, with some qualities of Legends, and better balancing of characters than GOH.

And it'll be nice to have a game that's more varied than Legends, which has only just recently started to feel more like a DCU game and less of a Batman game guest-starring the DCU.

I also hope it doesn't end up with Captain America- Red, Captain America-Blue, Iron Man Snow Outfit, Iron Man Desert Outfit, Iron Man Space Outfit, like DC Legends has done. I'd much rather have the rest of the Titans than multiple versions of Batman, Joker and Harley Quinn.

Game is out on Android, installing it now. I saw wolverine in one of the preview images in the play store. Does that mean the xmen are in the game right off the bat?

Just Wolverine at the moment, but his presence gives hope that there's no embargo going on this time.

Looks like they're starting with characters mostly seen in the MCU, which makes sense, but there's already characters lined up to be added.

I know Dr. Strange and Starlord will be released, likely as event rewards.
And Wolverine is a reward for completing daily challenges.

And I was reading Thor's powers over here and one gives a boost for number of Asgardians in your team, but at the moment he's the only Asgardian that's playable.

Warning: if you're just starting the game, do set aside time to play. The first several levels go by fast and you're getting showered with energy.
    I didn't run out until I hit level 13.

My line-up after my first session (in order of power):

    SHIELD Medic (2 stars/lvl 13)
    Spider-Man (2 stars/lvl 13)
    Luke Cage (2 stars/lvl 13)
    Daredevil (3 stars/lvl 13)
    Punisher (2 stars/lvl 13)

    Elektra (1 star/lvl 13)
    Crossbones (2 stars/lvl 13)
    Hand Sorceress (1 star/lvl 13)
    Mercenary Soldier (1 star/lvl 13)
    SHIELD Operative (1 star/lvl 13)

Getting pretty tired of endless mobile greed before gameplay cash grabbng 'games' from Marvel now. Real games on console with PS4 Spidey and Avengers Project (even if it does end up being a crappy Overwatch ripoff) cn't come soon enough.

    So they brought in Ultimus

And instead of keeping his distinctive design

Made him look like a cross between Cable and Thanos

At least they didn't go with Thanos as the Big Bad Guy.

Marvel tends to use Thanos, DC tends to use Darkseid.
It's always refreshing when they break out a different main villain.
