Alvaro Martínez Bueno teased another image on twitter:

I really like how he's managing to depict Diana's stature. I also like how he managed to give Zatanna a look of slight suspicion, and doesn't do the Playboy Bunny look for her.

Well, Diana's definitive height upgrade is back in full force .

She kind of looks a little like a female Constantine...with pigtails .

I don't know if I'd say "playboy bunny" but this isn't a "glamorous and fun" Zatanna so it's definitely not surprised to see her depicted as she is in the book.

"Playboy bunny" is my code for Zatanna wearing a bowtie without a collared skirt and matching vest, which is a fashion faux pas that Zatanna should never be guilty of.

I think Zatanna makes a bowtie work no matter what .

"Female Constantine" is a step up in my opinion.
"Glamorous and fun" works, too, as long as it's Zee having the fun and not the artist.

    LOL!
I'm not referring to his wonderful charm, just his style.

The other day I was working on making game cards for Zatanna and did a Google search trying to find dynamic images to use, and she's probably just under Harley Quinn and above Power Girl in the 'sleazy art because I'm a horndog artist' ranking.
A mini-trenchcoat is at least a bit harder to exaggerate into something porrnographic.
And she makes it look classy.

I think it's safe to say he's doing pretty good with this book, and it seems a better fit for him.

To anyone keeping up more readily with the book than I am.

Does Dr. Fate/Khalid have a role in Dark beyond the 2nd issue where he was just a shock-value hostage for a page?

So far no but that could change with the Lords of order story arc.

I mean, conversely, I've found some pretty classy and dynamic art for her that isn't just excessive cheesecake, even if that kind of art is probably fairly prevalent as it is for most female comic book characters.

Zatanna makes anything look classy .

Totally agree. His Bat stuff was always kinda just ok to me. He does much better on JLD. From what I’ve read of him, it’s probably his best work so far.

I see. That's kinda too bad, in my opinion. But hopefully, like you say, that'll change in the upcoming story line.

To be quite frank, I miss his Bat stuff and what he did with Tec. Haven't found much incentive to follow Dark, at least not as of now. Or Tec very much, for that matter, since he left.
