I absolutely love this book. I hope Orm remains a family man.

I liked today's issue.
spoilers:end of spoilers
I think Orm is going to die. The talk he had with his family before he went with Mera screamed "I am going to die so this is meaningful" to me.

About Mera serie:
She has a fight ahead of her, and she has a throne to claim and, thanks to the editor’s note, we’re told that this very fight will take place in her solo series, Mera: Queen of Atlantis.

Edit - Also, there is someone mopping the floor in the third picture. Wtf.

Maybe it's a sealant to preserve the masonry?
Debating if I'm going to pick up that Mera title. On the one hand, I adore the character. On the other, I'm rather far removed from the target audience and I'm not feeling the costume (though I like what they're doing with color). Gonna wait and see on reviews.
The cover is overphotoshopped but I like the stills. The practical effects in the second one are impressive so I'm cautiously optimistic.

The finale of “Sink Atlantis”, the four-part crossover with the Suicide Squad! The undersea kingdom of Atlantis is overrun with black-ops super-villains; a dethroned ex-King of the Seven Seas; and a former assassin-mermaid from the Bermuda Triangle, all locked on a collision course! The Suicide Squad, Aquaman and Mera: no holds barred!

"She’s a warrior who was raised by the queen of Atlantis before she passed. We meet Mera after the queen has long since left and she’s been raised to take over as queen her whole life," Heard said. "She’s been raised to serve her kingdom and rule over Atlantis with King Orm (Patrick Wilson)."
I have so many questions about this. Is she still from Xebel? Is she and Orm together? Are they ruling as equals?
The sense I'm getting is that Xebel is one of the different Atlantean races/cultures, being the one that specializes in Hydrokinesis, and Mera was probably offered up and groomed to marry the future King of Altantis (which is at the time meant to be Orm).
It explains why they made Nereus her dad in this continuity.
