    Yep. That's why to me, the Bronze Age had the perfect balance of art and word count. I wish comics would return to an average word count similar to that of the Bronze Age.

    I don't worry about "word count" as much as I do about quality: do I feel that the issues are, overall, worthwhile to me? That $4.00 book with just 36 words might be okay for some stories, but may also feel like a rip-off/place-holder/filler in other cases.
    Def hit or miss for some on the older stuff I enjoy both myself, but as you point out none of that has anything to do with quality. However if it is a bad book I prefer it to be modern the silver age stuff is really rough to make it through an issue that is horrible.
