    Default Scooby-Doo! Team-Up: What's out now?

Well, since we have a thread on Scooby-Doo Team-Up suggestions !, I thought it might be useful to have a separate thread on what's actually available.

    So, for recent issues,

    SCOOBY-DOO TEAM-UP #34
Batgirl, Black Canary and their teammates call themselves “Birds of Prey,” but they may become prey themselves when Gotham City’s besieged by mythical birds. Still, they might be able to unravel the mystery with the help of the two newest Birds of Prey team members: Daphne and Velma!

    SCOOBY-DOO TEAM-UP #35
Ranger Smith is sure Yogi Bear is up to his old tricks when a ghost scares visitors out of Jellystone Park and swipes their picnic baskets. But when the ghost starts stealing from Yogi and Boo Boo, too, can Scooby and the gang be “smarter than the average bear” to figure out who’s really behind it all?

    SCOOBY-DOO TEAM-UP #36
You think Scooby and the gang have seen it all? Just wait till the gang’s latest case leads them to the wackiest corners of the DC Universe, where they join forces with semi-simian private eyes Angel and the Ape, screwy superheroes the Inferior Five...and Stanley and his m-m-monster!

I've read them all and enjoyed them.

    Lastest issue:

    Angel & the Ape
    Inferior 5
    Stanley and his Monster
    ? & ? (surprise)

    Comedic craziness.

If you are a fan of DCU history and not reading this, you are denying yourself pure enjoyment.

    I adore Brizuela's art!

Just picked up issues #35 and #36 today.

I've really been enjoying all the extras Sholly includes in these issues, much as he did when he was writing All-New Batman: The Brave & the Bold. He manages to write light, fun, kid-friendly stories but avoids making them too childish for grown-ups to also enjoy.

Also, the Maniaks appeared. (I didn't know about them until now.)

Mentioned: Lando, Man of Magic and The Flips.

Gotta love people who do their homework.

(and Bob Hope, Jerry Lewis and Don Rickles (I think that was their names )who appeared in DC comics decades ago.)

Still have to get around to reading this, but was it just Don Rickles or did they also have . . .

    . . . Goody Rickles?!?

    (Don't ask . . . just blame Jack Kirby.)

I'm beginning to wonder if the young people working the telephones were some obscure characters also.

    Sorry, but no.

By the way, regarding the Maniaks,

in case anybody didn't realize, the song they were singing ("Take the last train to Knoxville . . . ") would appear to be a take-off on a popular song of The Monkees
Take the last train to Clarksville
And I'll meet you at the station
You can be there by four-thirty
'Cause I've made your reservation, don't be slow…

It's kind of depressing that you had to explain that for the youngsters here.

Well, I wasn't sure if it needed an explanation, but just in case . . .

No, you did the right thing, even if it makes me feel old.

Supergirl may be as invulnerable as her cousin, but even bulletproof skin can't help her when she's haunted by the ghosts of Krypton! Is it a hoax? A message from the Phantom Zone? It's up to Scooby and the gang to find out...assuming that Scooby and Streaky the Super-Cat can set aside their cat-and-dog rivalry!

Never really got into before, but man, is this series fun. Scooby and gang are straight from the old cartoon (though I did wish some acknowledgement of Zombie Island and what not happened, but that's a minor gripe). And the DC characters are very Super Friends in the way they act.

    So much fun!
