I think the Nuclear Radiation from a Bomb is to Dirty for his body to process while Solar Radiation is Cleaner. Even Supes need to eat Clean to stay healthy.

This sounds more like an Ionizing form of radiation on the order of Kryptonite in order to cancel out Superman's invulnerability.

TBF, that was a supernuke that was the equivelant of dozens of regular nukes going off at once and caused an emp that fried all technology over an entire continent. No real nuke has ever come close to it. Solar radiation is also not the same as regular radiation. It just means the energy given off by the sun. Solar panels and plants that draw energy from the sun don't draw energy from nuclear radiation.

Granted, energy given off by the sun but...

Wouldn't that be "filtered Solar Radiation" as the Earth's layered atmosphere and the polar magnetic force field would screen out most of the harmful direct effects of pure solar radiation. The screening process allows just enough radiation for plant photosynthesis, as opposed to "unfiltered radiation" form the sun - which no biological / corporeal life forms could / would exist, as it would be irradiated....however....

Superman, who has been at (in) the "suns core" - which is about 27million degrees (F) at 100Billion atmospheres of pressure with gamma radiation that is off the charts, not to mention, withstanding a super-nova blast shock (gamma ray-burst) proving that he can survive such harsh conditions.

The sun is basically an unregulated nuclear fusion reactor. Iow solar radiation is nuclear radiation. It's just that things (like earth's magnetic field & ozone layer) filter out most of the deadly rays from the sun.
