I'm kind of surprised we've never seen a Flash/GL race considering how closely tied together those heroes often are (unless I've missed an issue).

Shouldn't he/they be as fast as The Flash? They should be able to appear anywhere they want in the blink of an eye by just thinking about it, but their speed is never discussed.
Yes, that's cause Flash fans are super sensitive, so it's never discussed.

Yeah Flash can do that to near anyone, but that's a pretty ridicules PIS scenario if you have a GL walking in and no auto-shield up to a fight.
GL comes in (not walking which would be silly) but flying from above as they do, and with his auto-shield default up, which is usually the case.

    That said
GL's can move forward in time, and yes generate worm holes, technically warping space-time traveling faster than light.

Although Flash can travel into the future and past as well.

Flash into the past as well.

Why would the ring need permission from its bearer to act on the aggression from the Flash?
If Barry started punching Hal, I am pretty sure his ring would react well before Hal even had an inclination he was being punched.
I could be wrong, while I have read hundreds of Green Lantern and Flash comics over the years, I have also read many other comics and my
memory is not real good an exact details of each characters powers.

The whole point of the rings is they act on the bearers will, not independent of it.

GL's ring allows for faster-than-light travel, which implies a warp capability. That's just punching holes in space, which does not mean a GL would be faster than Flash. I'll say no one is faster than Flash.

DC may have severely nerfed the power rings, because I don't see Lanterns doing this anymore.

Just imagine the stories Morrison could tell with this ability.

I think Flash should be the fastest because that's his thing. But GL should't be left in the dust either.

I'd like to think some GL's are faster than others. With Hal being among the fastest. I love the idea that Hal could catch up with New Gods Lightray.

Sandoval is amazing. He's shining so much more with DC then he did with Marvel in my opinion.
