Thanks! No immediate plans for Chamber in the first few eps of X-Force, I’m afraid. I had a semi-serious foray into somehow including him when I was first thinking it over, months ago, but I reluctantly agreed with my ed that it would’ve felt reaaaaaally contrived. Jono just doesn’t feel like a natural candidate for a paramilitary dirty-handed squad, whatever way you turn it round. Maybe I’ll sneakily manage to use him again sometime in the future, but no promises. He rocks up one last time before the end of XML, mind you, so keep those peepers peeled.

My curious affection for Chamber has, I think, been covered more than enough elsewhere. I tried quite seriously to find a spot for him on the team, but in the end conceded the person he is and the role the team will be playing aren’t good bedfellows. I never shut a door once it’s been slightly opened, so don’t be too surprised if I start contriving insane excuses in future arcs to get Jono in the book after all. It’ll come down to how close my editor’s paying attention, basically. (Are you reading this, Daniel?)

alright maybe it wasnt soley the editors decision but I wouldnt be surprised if they encouraged him not to have him in the book...

It does seem like his editor wasn't a fan, but that the decision was made primarily because he agreed Jono's not kill-happy and I'm happy with that.

Holy crap, that actually happened?? I thought it was fanart, hah! *goes to look it up* Ah, I see, it was one of the visions Beast received of why it was wrong to do something as stupid as disrupt the time-space continuum by plucking the O5 out of their timeline.

But as one of the examples of the O5 losing their humanity, that is absolutely hilarious. XD

As I understand it, each vision was written by a different writer and drawn by a different artist...? Because I'd hate to have to credit Bendis with a primo bit of b*tchy snark like that, hah. *checks again* Ah... no, it was probably Bendis. All right, so there's ONE thing he's done that I like. :P Stuart Immonen is also credited as a writer on ComicVine's page for the issue, but that might be a mistake, as he's an artist.

I always thought they were very similar...brown hair, explosive powers, horrible accents, kinda scuzzy man sluts...and Bachalo's Chamber pre-accident looks a lot like his Gambit.
