The dial of destiny looks a lot like the Antikythera mechanism, which is a nice nod.

This’d probably be more fun if Indy and Salah were in a retirement home and had to stop a Mummy from draining people’s souls. Making poor old Harry Ford run around is just elder abuse.

    Nice Bubba Ho-Tep reference.

I was very, very, very pleased and impressed with that trailer. The de-aging in those 30s segments looked as amazing as we've seen in some of the Marvel films(thinking Ant-Man w/M.Douglas).
Then again I'm one of the members of the proud to say I liked KOTCS so take my opinion as you will.

Isn't Ford surprisingly fit and active for his age?

I hope they re-edit the last bit of of the trailer for the movie. The amount of time between Indi ducking and them firing at him was ridiculous.

I'm guessing they'll use body doubles. The scene with him on the horse is probably a double with Ford's head CG'd on, judging by filming photos.

Anybody think there's going to be a "Don't touch that dial!" joke?

The gag in the first two films did sort of have a comedic pause I think.

The parade is very likely this one: https://www.archives.nyc/blog/2019/7...on%20July%2020.

The horse is probably from that parade.

I have no problem in the comedic pause after them pulling their guns. It's the time between him ducking and them firing over him that seems a bit off.

Is Indy going to grapple with THE MADMAN OF MANDORAS ? That was in 1969 (I think).

I thought maybe you were referring to an actual historical event/moment.
My google-fu shows Madman of Mandoras to be a crazy sci-fi plot of a film about Hitlers brain in a jar from 1963.

Right! This time Indy won't get an autograph!

Thought the trailer looked awesome and it's great to have Sallah back only thing that would make this perfect is an appearance by Short Round.

Sadly, it took me this long to see the trailer. Appears some of my plot predictions weren't too far off.

Mangold has me having faith so far. I really loved his 3:10 to Yuma.
Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”
