Certainly, the movies have the right to refuse to let the TV side make anything if they want to do it instead.
That is correct. I remember this quote from someone who works on AOS once saying they need permission from the movie people when it comes to introducing new concepts in the shows. That is why I don't believe for one second in this narrative of ''Feige being forced to abandon the Inhumans project''. If he truly wanted the movie to happen, I'm positive it would have.

Yep. Now don't get me wrong, I don't think he was entirely opposed to the idea, just relatively indifferent to it and happy to push it off on the tv side when they were more interested.

Some cool covers. This could make a great movie if done right.

Aside from that. Go forth. :P
My bet is that they'll cast Gotham's Crystal Reed for the role of Sersi.

I know everyone leans very heavy on the Kirby original run for Eternals lore (and well we should), but I hope some of the things from the 80's maxi series get used also. Ghaur and Phastos are just too good of characters not to be used just because they were not created by Kirby.

I'd rather Constance Wu as Sersi and Rami Malek as Makkari while we're at it.

    I would LOVE THIS.
I'll get to see my bae Ikaris on the big screen, hope they get the casting right.
We'd get more Celestial mythos as well with this as well as some Thanos background on screen.

    because there isn't an Asgard.

I like the idea of Constance Wu as Sersi. My number one pick is Priyanka Chopra for Sersi.

I don’t know if this is the right place to ask this question but I was wonder what required reading there is for someone interested in reading about them. Sersi is the only one I know from her time on the Avengers. I know there’s the original Kirby run and Gailman’s series (can it be read before Kirby’s?). Any help would be appreciated.

Honestly Gaimens series while good in itself did pretty much retconed everything else that had come before in regards to the Eternals. It is best to just read it on its own after you have read the more classic stuff. I really did not care for most of the Eternals stuff after the Gaimen mini series that much either since to me it seemed to lose what made them special to begin with.

    I would say look for:

Eternals vol 1 (19 issues by Kirby)
Thor: The Eternals Saga (Thor issues 283-301 Annual 7)
Eternals vol 2 (12 issues maxi series)
    Avengers (issues 246-248)
    Iron Man Annual #6
    Silver Surfer Annual #1

They did collect the whole Eternals Saga from the Thor series in 2 trades, but I am not sure if they are still in print.

Perfect! It looks like I can get all of these digitally except Eternals vol. 2. I’ll try to track down a print copy of it.
