Okay sooo, let me start with a list of cameos. - Champions (Nova, Viv, Kamala, Miles, Cho) - Iron Fist - Daredevil - Moongirl and DD - America Chavez - Scarlet Spider - The Thing - Spider-Man - Dr. Strange - Luke Cage - Storm - Jimmy Hudson - Captain Marvel and Alpha Flight - X-Men - Wakanda and Black Panther Lightning is the narrator of the issue and heh as a major part in it. He plays a poker game with the grandmaster where he wins and gets back Human Torch, Red Wolf and the Earth back in its place. Everyone else is fighting the Challenger and it's a massive fight. TONS OF ACTION. Almost everyone gets a little to shine. There is this very cool page where both Wasps charge together. Squirrel Girl gets decent paneltime. Beast, Falcon, Rogue, Cannonball gets to punch a lot. Hawkeye gets to fire some arrows. Synapse has her moment. Wonder Man has his moment. It's an epic fight. Voyager uses her powers to make everyone remember what it means to be an Avenger. Wanda casts a huge spell. Everyone is happy. They defeat the challenger. Seems like next week is epilogue

Ugh, not only Thor ends up helping Hercules holding the World Engine steady as well, the spothlight is still on Roberto being "a hulk".

If only I didn`t saw it coming.

It was a phenomenal issue BTW.

This issue IS phenomenal! The fluidity of their collective participation was just so freaking rad. It really was just brimming with exceptional moments for so many characters. The juggling is amazing.
I really dug Falcon's instruction of "All Squads! Magicians to the back, power hitters to the front! Now!" -- felt very Dungeons and Dragons strategy. ha ha ha. And speaking of the squads, I love how they seamlessly divided into said squads for coordinated attacks. The pacing was SO fast and intense and added a sensational level of tension.
Ugh and the team ups! So much fun!!!

Rogue and Cannonball!
And Lightning's "Oh Honey. I don't PLAY." was just divine. ha ha ha.

I'd expressed discontent previously about the story dragging, but these last 2 issues REALLY made up for that discontent. Truly. And Larraz is JUST. SO. INCREDIBLE.
