"I can't complain. I got to be Jim Morrison for the first half of my life, and Ward Cleaver for the second half." - Warren Zevon.
And while it's not a true "mystery", I've started reading:The Crimson Mask Archives, Volume 1 by Norman A. Daniels and Frank Johnsonwhich reprints some stories from Detective Novels Magazine in 1940.
(published by Thrilling Publications)
This morning I started reading:
In the Best Families by Rex Stout <Nero Wolfe>
(orig. published 1950; 1995 Bantam "Crime Line")
My local library started up a Mystery Book Club recently and I've joined it. We read The Body In The Casket by Katherine Hall Page this past month. Tonight we picked A Beautiful Mystery by Louise Penny.

Today was Independent Bookstore Day. I visited a shop I've never been to before because they were having an author signing to go with the event. The author in question is debut thriller novelist Kris Frieswick. I picked up her book "The Ghost Manuscript" and after her talk was over, I had it signed. I also picked up a couple of "Blind Date With A Book" mystery books. The books are wrapped in brown paper and labeled for what type of book they are. I grabbed a mystery and a thriller and they look pretty interesting judging by the synopsis on the back of each book.

Returned to my neighboring town's library book sale today (half-price day) and also got:
Three Strikes You're Dead
by Robert Goldsborough
<Snap Malek mystery>
as well a copy of
The Big Sleep
by Raymond Chandler
(which I own / have read, but my copy was a British copy and it seemed like there were some changes in terminology, like referring to the "boot" of a car instead of the "trunk")
