All misgivings aside, I have much higher hopes for Aquaman than that turd of a Venom movie Sony is coming out it.

A venom movie with as far as we know zero ties to spider-man. I’m going in with zero expectations low standards. I may still be disappointed.

Everything I've read about the trailer sounds amazing and I haven't seen any bad reviews. Given there aren't that many out there. Also the photorealistic Sharks and other sea life being ridden by atlantans looks cool in the photos. Hope it looks as good in motion. They are embracing the more fantastic side of Atlantis with that and I like that. They coulda sucked the fun out of it like other DCEU movies.

Justice League did make me believe that they can do under water special effects right, but there's no indication to me they can do Aquaman right. that's the make-or-break deal for me. It's like if they had done Africa perfectly but got Black Panther wrong. It totally would have not worked for me.

Lol whatever they did in Justice league for the underwater scenes isn't what Wan is doing. Supposedly they are using some new technology for the underwater stuff.

Im sold on Mamoa as Arthur. The problem was Justice league gave him no depth and made him the broody one but then also made him the fun crazy one later. But Mamoa as Aquaman I like

I really can't wait to see what Wan does with the Trench. With his horror background, I'll bet he makes them all kinds of freaky.

We seen pics of a new costume but it was bulkier then thats might just have been a ceremonial thing for his showdown with Orn but that toy is his actual costume. Iono other one looks like it has crustacean growing on it.

Yeah, I'm guessing he only wears that armor briefly while he's in Atlantis. I think it's supposed to be standard Atlantean soldier gear.

He probably puts the classic suit on near the climax.

Probaly right. I hear he challenges Orn to a fight in a gladiator arena in the trailer. So maybe it the traditional gear for a gladiator or yea just infantry uniform

Disney to WB I'm Mary Poppins Y'all. Yeah now opening with Bumblebee, Alita, and Mary Poppins WB needs to move Aquaman if they don't want it to take a massive hit.
