Again, great when someone ends up well. I just don't believe that's the majority working in the sex industry.

These occupations literally treat women as commodities and objects. And that's just when women have a "choice", to say nothing of human trafficking (often of minors). Gun to your head would you say every porn clip/movie you've seen online starred a willing participant (or even an adult participant)?
It would probably depend on what kind of porn you mostly watch. I don't have any numbers or reports to back me up, but amateur porn is really big. I doubt many of the participants are being coerced. There's porn made by women for the enjoyment of other women...

Of course, when you start talking about the "gonzo" porn, then you get into maybe sketchy territory. And of course again...there's Linda Lovelace's claim that she was forced into making Deep Throat by and abusive husband. I've heard that other people saw Linda's husband being abusive, but thought they couldn't do anything because the couple were married.

perhaps, but now you have more girls with their own web presence and productions companies (like Joanna Angel or Gianna Michaels) so they have a lot more control and choice over when and how they work

I'm not honestly sure the skillset for porn has much cross over with the skillset for movie acting outside of a few superficial similarities. I mean, sure, it could, but if you've spent the last ten years building a porn resume unless there's some actual decent regular ole acting on there what're you going to show a director? You need a reel, and you need experience. Frequently stuff like being a PA, writer or Stand-in helps. Porn could and has launched acting careers but it's a very sideways path to acting.
