Legion of Super Bloggers review of L.E.G.I.O.N. #23 - At last - What Happened To The Durlan. Most had already figured it out but it was still a fascinating read.

And if you're wondering why/how Phase came to be in the 20th century, check out this Annual from Legion of Super Heroes:

I have little to no memory of #23, but just from the recap I must say the art looks quite good! The non-Fern pages, that is.

However I do remember LoSH Annual #1 making me a fan of Ultra Boy, who is still a favorite to this day.

I had read Legion of Super Heroes for years when that annual came out. I learned more about Ultra Boy in that one issue than I ever had before. It was great.

Also, if you ever get a chance to read L.E.G.I.O.N. #23, please do. It's a great issue.

Legion of Super Bloggers review of L.E.G.I.O.N. #24 - Last issue with art by Jim Fern before Barry Kitson returns. It's L.E.G.I.O.N. vs the Khunds, Dox begins 'deprogramming' Lydea, and some sparks fly between Captain Comet and Marij'n Bek.

Legion of Super Bloggers review of L.E.G.I.O.N. #25 - artist Barry Kitson returns. Also, the battle with the Khunds continues and Captain Comet (along with Marij'n Bek) confronts Dox on the deprogramming techniques he's using on Lydea.

Barry Kitson did a great job inking himself in this issue IMO.

Legion of Super Bloggers review of L.E.G.I.O.N. #27 - Dox struggles to break Lydea's walls, Garv makes Strata laugh, Telepath has no luck in probing Phase's memories, and Stealth prepares to give birth.

Loving Barry Kitson's inside art but I'm not crazy about the cover artist on the past two issues. I like the emerging two couples in Garv & Strata and Comet & Marij'n. Phase asking Telepath to help her discover who she is and about her past is very interesting. That must be some memory block Glorith put in place.

Brereton is an acquired taste. Even in the 90's when he was fairly prolific, I always thought his style was better suited to pin ups or trading cards than actual comics.
