he's doing that in iterations not in one large leap. if that were his strategy storm would not only see but sense the shift in the EM similarly to how magneto did when he fought against him. in that scan the distnwces between bamfs are much shorter than the him having to port where storm is in red when they first see her. also he is on the ground..

He teleported the X-men from Westchester to Annandale-On-Hudson in the End of Greysto fight the Shi'ar Death Commandos. Thats about 75 miles

No worries. Jean can get to Storm but Kurt is really the only chance that the rest even have a way to not be useless in the battle but he will probably have one shot to place Gabby and Laura in a position to attack her and thats only if she's distracted by Jean

I guess we have to wait and see how it all plays out? I'm sure it would lead to more interesting debate once the issue drops.
