Hmmm. Interesting combo. Diana runs into Eliza, stumbles upon her meeting Goliath, and sees the humanity in Goliath and his clan.

It happened twice before, but Darkness and DC (though, kind of have to wait for the new Darkness series to come out). Jackie already came across Batman (set him on a path to clearing out the worst of the worst and becoming a not-so-bad guy) and Superman (Eddie cleared out organized crime from Metropolis while helping rescue a captured Lois and deal with Metallo).

Those stories were actually canon to The Darkness, but were considered Elseworld by DC (kind of a shame, but I see where they're coming from).

Can we add Kid Acero to that Xover?

    Who?
In a round about way, Mattel's Max Steel is the son of Mattel's Big Jim, who was marketed throughout Latin-America and given a bio-mechanical arm and weapons as Kid Acero (Kid Steel) who Jaime Reyes may have grown up reading about, who was then re-imagined for USA as Max Steel.

    Oh my! in all-caps. LOL
Are you being forced to buy them?

Which crossovers have effected the main DCU that you would even have to consider them?

Phillip Marlowe and Bruce Wayne- Both span a few versions and eras so lots of options here. I 'm thinking maybe Bruce helping out in a year one or pre year one scenario. Or perhaps a case takes Batman to Marlowes's town and they collaborate.

I'm surprised Batman and John Johns (as a detective) haven't teamed up more. Unless I missed it?
Doesn't J'onzz as Johns pretty much become their in-universe Phillip Marlowe?
Darwyne Cooke certainly played them that way in NF
Johns somewhat takes on that hard-boiled detective persona.

If not Slam Bradley (without any sic-fi trappings) straight up served that end.

Definitely more whimsical than Marlowe, did you ever read the Batman Spirit crossover?

Or the current Shadow / Batman at Dynamite?

The one that surprises me that never happened (at least that I know of) is Batman / Dick Tracy.
As far as a bizarre array of rogues, they were certainly pulling from a similar cooky looking underworld.

Nick Fury: Head of GI Joe. I always thought SHIELD lacked a recognizable team while GI Joe lacked a definitive leader. Combine the two.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
