    Default Tim Trench Appreciation Thread

Yeah, I know practically nobody remembers him, but ...

He was first seen in Denny O'Neil's Wonder Woman run back in the late 1960s.

In the 1970s, he had a couple of back-up stories in Detective Comics.

But in the end, it appears DC brought him back (briefly) in 2006 as part of the weekly series 52, only to give him the final kiss-off.

It would be nice if DC found a way to revive him and give us a recurring non-super-powered civilian private-eye character that could occasionally pop-up in various stories. (They wouldn't even have to go overboard with the Sam Spade/Maltese Falcon references in the stories.)

I remember him. Trench and Tom Tressler should join Steve in ARGUS. They can share notes.

I'd enjoy more stories about non-supers in the DCU. Tim Trench. Jason Bard. Jonny Double. Nemesis. There are lots out there!

Unfortunately, the character of Jason Bard took a bit of a licking when he was re-introduced for the New52 in Batman Eternal.

Didn't read that one. Can we just ignore it?

Well, we can't go completely back to original Jason Bard these days.

(The Vietnam "War" was way too long ago.)
