Really hoping WB uses John as the cinematic GL. Part of me feels like it'll happen based on the Flash/GL rumor. Seems the most likely way Warners would propel a black character is by pairing him up.

I have no doubt Barry will be the Flash. Hal most likely will be the GL, but I wouldn't put money on it at the moment.

I always thought Hal was going to be featured in the movie even after the 2011 film, but hearing about all of these John Stewart rumors, I don't know which GL it's going to be. I just hope the movie is good.

The backlash may be worse, but John seems to have a strong fan base. So there would be a good amount of people behind the WW/JS relationship as well as those who oppose it.

I get the feeling that Kyle, John and Guy would all care for Carol but as a spiritual sister to them and not as a lover at the end of the day. That would be beautiful to see that kind relationship in action with Hal being paranoid. ^^

If Cyborg is a lock for the JL film, then it almost certainly will be Hal. If it's not Cyborg, then it's John.

What John Stewart rumors?

There's been lots of discussions and speculations about John Stewart being in the rumored film months ago. Others like Denzel Washington, Chadwick Boseman and Dwayne Johnson were previously discussed as playing John in the rumors. It's already been debunked with Dwayne Johnson. But it's good to hear about John rumors though. If John doesn't make it into the film, I'm more than sure WB has been discussing about whether he should be in the movie.

For me? Absolutely not. I just think DC is going with the 15% rule that they normally go with, that's all.

I'm sorry that it seems like I directed the question towards you. I was only questioning WB/DC's decision standards.

The fact that they are using Barry makes it more than likely that they will use Hal.

I think so far Johns' best appearances have been in The Justice League of America Unlimited. I think eventually DC will have more than one GL just like in the comics. Once they catch up with the movies. Comic movies may have their ups and downs trend-wise but, they are here to stay. TV too.

I haven't seen any mentions of Hal's name on the rumors. Movies and shows aren't 100% accurate to comics to be honest. I'm not saying Jordan wouldn't be in the movie. It just seems like a 50/50 chance for one of them being in the film in my opinion.
