I'm loving the conversation here about John suppressing parts of himself to cope with the tragedies in his life.

The sad part was that way back in 2005, Geoff already hinted about that, but never bothered to explore it. Geoff eventually went overboard with the marine angle.

Guy was the first (that I know of) to call John out on that.

It is funny that Guy & and Batman (two blokes who can't stand each other) have such insight on John.

I would pick Mari/Vixen. I'd be cool if they kept it platonic. They had an interesting dynamic in Pre-Flashpoint JL comics.

Sadly, no one bothered to develop it further.

I think if things turned out differently, Mr. McDuffie would used Mari to dig deeper into John's psyche during his JL run.

I really hope we can get more of the Pre-Crisis John Stewart back.

I remembered how a while back you disliked John being "just a soldier" and preferred the architect. It's nice to you're happy about that

I didn't expect Scott Snyder to acknowledge it or even do some further development with John. It's nice to see other fans of the character, who preferred the architect over the Marine being happy about this.

I really like that Snyder is doing this. Mosaic is one of my favorite stories (sadly I can’t look at it the same after what happened with Gerard Jones). I would love if some of John’s personality from that story started to show up. Obviously he’s never going to forget that he’s a soldier. But a mix of both aspects of John would be great. That way fans of both personality traits of his character would be happy.

Agreed. Mosaic is a terrific story and I don't wanna say his name, either. It would certainly satisfy everyone with John having both personality traits.

After all the times we could have seen Cyborg/John team up, especially since Cyborg joined the League (including Smallville season 11), is exciting to see. I can't wait to see them play off each other to be honest.
