    Default Mutants 1,000,000 BC

So apparently a throwaway line of dialogue in Avengers #1 indicates that mutants now date to the time period of the Avengers 1,000,000 BC team.

Does anyone at Marvel realize this now means mutants would PRECEDE normal humans by about 500,000-700,000 years?

Bad enough they can't keep their OWN continuity straight, now they can't even keep up on basic scientific facts. :-P

Ummm... it only really changes mutant history if Storm's matriarcal lineage is ignored.

Do not think it makes any significant difference but now Apocalypse is no longer the first mutant although believes that he gave himself that title.

I thought they already established that Selene was older?

'Mutant' might just mean any old mutation, not X-Gene mutation. Bah, who am I kidding?! Homo superior predated homo sapiens. >_<
What utter folly. This could have been Avengers 10,000 BC or even 100,000 BC but 1,000,000 BC sounds 'cool'. Assorted aliens, demons, Celestials, Eternals, Deviants, and homo erectus should be on Earth, not mutants or even Inhumans.

Selene fought Conan types. She's 17,000 years old.

Do we really think that Storm's lineage goes back 1,002,018 years???

What this likely means is that the Phoenix host is the oldest mutant, officially, if she shows up again.

17,000, according to Marvel Wikia. That does make her 12,000 years older than Apocalypse (~5000 years old). Selene's history dates back to the Hyborian Age.
