Oh, I know, love. I'm in full agreement. The only way this "news" actually has merit is if my theory about her mutant gene coming from her father's side actually becomes canon. Until that day comes her maternal lineage is the source of all her power. Those women have been in power since the dawn of humanity as so expeditiously provided by ExodusCloak with the scan now in question.

    Ghost Rider - demon/magic entity
    Black Panther - magic entity
Starbrand - Deviant? possessed by a cosmic force
    Iron Fist - magic entity

One of them, at least, has to be an Eternal or a Deviant.
Hmm, so Phoenix is the only possible mutant in the group? I'll admit that I know little about Eternals or Deviants, so I don't understand how they fit in at all.

Bad enough they can't keep their OWN continuity straight, now they can't even keep up on basic scientific facts. :-P
I didn't think he meant literal mutants. It more felt like he was alluding to whoever that hulk-like creature was.

There shouldn't be any humans at all back then, much less the next step of human evolution. The link I posted outlines info on the Celestials, Deviants, and Eternals, as well as debunking certain recent matrilineal X-gene suggestions.

I feel that Jean Grey fans will be very annoyed with this book. I mean, just thinking.

As a Jean Grey fan - no I am not. I'm also not going to discuss my ideas because they'll derail the thread even more than it already has been.

yes I remember seeing that tarot card scan years ago but how it all fits with this avengers story I would love to know. if her ancestor was the first sorcesses supreme how does this fit with agamotto?? and that would be interesting if her mutant gene came from her dad but her goddess gene came from her mom.. I'm here for it!!!

Starbrand is specifically called out separately as a "caveman with the powers of the stars." So he's not referenced as a god, mutant or monster.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I'm not going to say, stop writing my review threads for X-Men Red but for the first three issues each of them became about Storm and now that Storm is actively a part of the book...

What this likely means is that the Phoenix host is the oldest mutant, officially, if she shows up again.
Were you not the user querying Storms ancestry? Which is an x-staple like Xavier's baldness. People aren't presenting a scan go derail a thread. People are presenting a scan answer your question. Additionally, given that Storm ancestry would be relevant to a thread called mutants 1000000BC

I made a comment about someone else making it about Storm and then continued on with a relevant discussion. It was BBeeryan that started the discussion of Storm in this thread.

to be fair the point he made was relevant to the topic of discussion.. and seriously if people don't want to.talk about them dont engage in that discussion. bb hasn't been the one derailing this thread talking about storm fans it's been others.
