Can you tell me how welcoming it is to go to a topic, that gains 100 new pages every day, has forum users make 7 posts in a row, holy crap. a single forum user makes 7 posts in a row and i am suppose to follow this singular chat?

It's ten times more easier to follow 4 different community threads alongside the CBR chat, and decide which has the most suitable atmosphere, because the CBR Chat is a major major turn off. It has nothing appealing to offer to anyone.
I think that's where the disconnect lies. This is not done to make it easier for forum members to have these random chat discussions. It's being done to prevent the "us" and "them" mentality. What you're asking for is a special clubhouse where you and a select group can talk and what CBR is saying is that there are no more select groups. Just the community as a whole. Because when everyone sees themselves as part of the CBR community and NOT as a Rita or an Ultimate or a whatever then there's a tendency to self-moderate. A tendency to be a little bit of a better version of yourself.

It's not a good change. It's terrible and I'll continue voicing my opinion until Norman Osborn himself bans me.

There is already a "us" and "them" mentality in the CBR chat. You have a whole own group of people just chatting with themselves, a forum poster makes 10 posts in a row, holy jesus, does noone know what the EDIT button is for?

I have yet found a single evidence, how the CBR chat is superior to the communities, because the CBR chat is nothing more than spam. There's nothing worth there to discuss, because noone can keep up with the flow.

It's hard to chat with friends when if you step away for an hour or two, there's already 20+ new pages.

That's because that's what he DOES. I honestly feel that's his way of protesting.

    Hahahahaha.

"If you really want to keep up and be part of our new community member atmosphere, you have to read 100 pages of discussion everyday, if you truly want to keep up!"

CBR Chat summed up. Perfect, just perfect.

"We hate the idea of 5 different threads having 10 pages of good, solid, thoughtful discussions, so we force you to read our singular topic spammed by 1 person, 10 posts in a row every two minutes!"

I'm getting the feeling you're right about that, but it's pretty easy to work around by just putting him on ignore.*

*- I'm not at that point yet.

So now new fans should use the ignore feature?

How is that for an OPEN BAR Community?!?!?!?!

If you feel he's spamming the thread just report him. I hear that there's a new zero tolerance policy for that sort of thing around here now.

I like his posts. I wouldn't befriend him, but I like the cut of his jib.

I don't think new fans would have too much of a problem with someone discussing stuff with them without asking whether they're a member of the Sharks or the Jets.

Is that reference lost? Should I have gone with Team Jacob or Team Edward?

    We don't bring up Twilight.
