"While nearly all of my school's history has been lost, there are some parts that remain. For most of my training, I thought the tales were fables, stories to keep me in line. So far, I've found that they weren't tall tales." Steeling himself, he began, "As I've said countless times, the Dino School was made in response to mankind's early survival. Among those dinosaurs that fed on humans, there was one that stood above them all as the strongest. It was said that this beast had withstood countless fights and had even eaten a god. Turns out, this dinosaur had managed to collect the dragon balls and wished for immortality."
The presence within reacted to his telling of the tale, although he imagined it was more prideful chest puffing rather than any attempts to interfere.
"However, the dinosaur's wording of his wish would be his downfall. My ancestors, the first of the Ogatan, would manage to fell his body, but his spirit remained. Bound to a dead body, he witnessed it being prepared and eaten in celebration and by doing so, the Dino School became entwined with the beast."
He allowed that to sit in the air for a pause, knowing Ochazuke would be able to easily put the pieces together as to the source of Charco's changes.
"My people have a history and culture of violence. Whether it was motivated by the spirit or simply natural for us, I believe he was content in some ways with how we acted. I think... in by trying to steer the school and clan towards co-existence with the Five, Penhuoqi riled the spirit in a way that the Ogatan clan had never experienced, and one she was not prepared for."
