    Okay.

Sarada feared Erosa was going to eat her like she did Sasheem, then carry her in her stomach while she ran to the battlefield, then regurgitate her like a worm about to be fed to a pack of chirping chicks. With the reality of her proposal out in the open, she felt much better.

She nodded and approached the Id. "Fine, that will work." She climbed on her back and wrapped her arms around her neck for support. "Alright, let's go!"

After communicating with Sarada and the others across the incomprehensibly vexing distance of a few mere miles, Ochazuke had pulled himself from the desiccated earth at the edge of the Cairn yard. The corpse god's form began to swell, and from his grave he began to stand unimpeded. Standing to his feet, he dusted off the red earth with a cough.

Some appearances can yet be deceiving. he mused. Glancing there at the rank behemoth, that's when he noticed the height of Hammer's bluff.

    "Cheh."

And not just in the figurative sense, but she would feel the Oni dying, which would feel like it was killing her as well.

"...it depends on what you plan on doing." A beat passed while she hesitated. "Fine. But no funny business!"

"If only one of us could create a portal across great distances," Parsley mused, making her presence felt. She had left to return to the bunker to pick up a weapon when it seemed the others were going to the battlefield. When that was rebuked by Ochazuke, she still held onto it. "If you're going, sister, you'll need this." She handed her the rifle. "Not as impressive a god-killing weapon as I would have thought, but it will do."

She took the gun and placed it inside a capsule. "Thanks... sister."
Meagan closed her eye and winced slightly, obviously troubled, "Cyanna could do it, she could teleport over there, only, I don't want her fighting that thing. She isn't ready to handle something that powerful."

"Parsley, if you wish to join the battle, I can ask Cyanna to take you there, but then she has to return back to the Bunker."

"Ok.....Hold on......" Erosa activated her Hunter/Killer Aura, anyone with a direct line of sight with her would see her form shift and become transparent accompanied by a low intensity headache that came from their brains attempting to process the skewed optical information. Sarada, who was holding onto her at the time, felt the ids body heat up at close range before she was hit with the sudden G force of her leaping forward...leaving the group behind as the two raced towards the battle as fast as Erosa could carry them.

".....The shattered Cairns are pretty much unsalvageable at this point. Only the intact depowered ones could ever be repaired....and only then if I can understand exactly how this sealing magic works. But if we could weaken and surround him with functioning Cairn stones, it might just depower him back to his dormant state." Etrina nodded, thought not without letting out a sigh. "At the rate we keep finding and unsealing monsters from the past, I'm definitely keeping this magic in mind after we're done here."

"With the Carin Yard destroyed our restrictions are somewhat lessened ... might it be possible to seal his severed limbs, or perhaps stymie his ability to reconstitute ?"

While waiting for the young Time Mage to respond, Ishtar pressed the attack, her next strike aimed at the still regenerating mass of necrotic flesh. "If this is all that is left of you ... death would be a mercy, would it not ?"

Like Meagan noticed from afar, Etrina too sees that one Ward Stone survived the Hakai and that it is one of the active ones Ishtar first re-empowered. If she is to reverse engineer the spell, this is her best bet.

"Heh, then it would be a futile effort to return this foul, departed soul to its upended grave by what limited means we possess" he mused. "However...it is not our only option."

Loosing his hand from its cloth enclosure, Ochazuke produced a Capsule. Pressing the switch, he tossed his familiar #14 a short distance away from the depleted standing stones, and a sharp metallic pop revealed an entirely different obelisk from a world apart.

Seized from the heart of a Slaver's operation, the Junjo machine tower, the Neural Stunner raised itself in the field. Pressing a few buttons in its array, with a low growl the machine powered on.

"We can't use our own power," he said, "but we can still channel external energies."

A bolt of energy leapt out at him, and Ochazuke raised his hand, gilded in Kongosho as he contained the eneergy in a matching frequency. A button flashed red on the surface of its control panel.

"Unfortunately...the output of this machine I estimate would cover Capital City from slum to highway," he said. "When this machine is armed, I will need your help to concentrate its area of effect."

“As to the rest, how we ended, simple: worn down. Five hundred years ago, a Saiyan came to Terra and rained hell upon it. Golden haired, green eyed, impossibly strong. But Terra prevailed, beat him and his men, used the old Cairn Yard across the continent to drain him, make him weak and then let it devour him while we took his power. That was a mistake, as the old ward stones couldn’t be activated again easily. Still, even in defeat, Terra was known now by the universe. Others came to conquer, Icejin, Threshling, First Race remnants. Again and again, Terra threw them back and again and again we lost some of ourselves. It was like a plague or sickness filled their minds, such was their want for this world. Hundreds of years of driving different invaders away, until only we remained here alongside our weapons and war machines we had made to defend us. And then some became consumed by that same sickness and turned on the rest of us. Atomic and arcane fire rained down, Terra warred with itself, and when the last fight was fought.....only I remained. Last man standing in a dead world. Two hundred years ago.”
The man who had come to their aid was an old soldier, weary and worn. Fire and steel had hardened him, and he was possessed of some greater sense of duty. And when he believed himself right and fighting for a greater cause, Asha’rah sensed he could be stubborn…incredibly stubborn. Such qualities are needed for a man to lose almost everything he has without losing himself. Such qualities are needed for the last man on Terra to hold himself with honor when there is no one left to judge him.
The man was Wilhelm, and he spoke of the history of his world, Terra.

The wars Terra fought against invaders, an impenetrable citadel for its people, were of mild interest to Asha’rah. It was always good to see mortals strive, even when beset by impossible odds. The more extreme the danger, the thinner the knife’s edge between forging great qualities and warping them.

The civil war that led to Terra’s fall resonated with Asha’rah more than most civil wars would. A conspiracy of angels had manipulated Asha’rah’s and Zeno’s faction both, pushing both sides to a war for which all would emerge the poorer. The inhabitants here had unleashed a gate of horrors they knew not how to close. Eventually, their minds too fell prey to the horror, and acted like puppets themselves upon the strings of a curse they could not comprehend.
But what struck Asha’rah hardest was the mention of the War in the Heavens, and how it led to the creation of the cursed ground upon which they had so recently tread. What happened that would drive either side to creating such a persistent trap? The War in the Heavens had been fought to shape the future of mortals, not end it. Not curse it.

…or was the conspiracy responsible? Was Terra just another pawn in their quest to discredit both sides?

“I did not create the Cairn Yard, but it is my…mess, so to speak. Whoever created it did so under the cover of the War in the Heavens. Whoever created the wards that guarded it never informed me of its existence. Whoever is responsible for it, I will end it.”

She is uncertain if there is anything she could do to be of help, or if she would just be in the way and her time would be better spent watching over the Princess. Lately, the thought of jumping into battle has made her wary and unsure of herself. Especially when the others seem far more capable than she is.

Parsley sighed deeply, going over the suggestion in her mind. On the one hand, seeing an actual God up close and and in person - even one that was dead and decayed - was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that shouldn't have been passed up. On the other, those children needed the help of a true warrior to protect the princess. Wilhelm would fall to pieces if something happened to her.

In the end, the hope that something befell the bunker and threatened the princess won out. "I'll stay here and help protect my contemporary." She hoped something would come because she was getting bored.

She kept that to herself, though.
