With a nod of thanks, Meagan walked over to the door. Examining it, she noticed that the control panel was still intact. Placing her small hand against the large dial, she listened intently as she manipulated the controls. As she did, it made the faintest of sounds, sounds she recognized, through her training with the Resistance, to indicate if she was activating the correct combination. It was long before the dial clicked and the door began to open....

"All the more reason to dismantle it before they get a chance to use it!" Charco replied.
"Well, we can't just simply smash it!" P-Sta exclaimed quickly, hoping to put a dampener on any and all brash actions.

P-Sta's eyes widen. "It is! It is a bomb!" P-Sta pointed dramatically. The officer wish he had applied to take those lessons on bomb disarming back in his academy days, but there was no time for regret! Not now, when death and/or dismemberment could be imminent! Quick action did indeed need to be taken...though without the brashness that seemed to emanate from Charco.

If these Nagadarr are lacking anything, it's grace and agility. Zaofan fluidly leaps over one, with his head mere inches above a Nagadarr's head. Mid-flight, he grabs that one by the shoulders and, using his momentum and Chef Brutus' training, flips him onto his partner. The damage the two suffer certainly won't keep them down for even a few seconds, but it would give Zaofan just enough time to fly in a zip to the other two guards, unleashing a series of kicks to keep them busy as well.
"I have a plan! It may only be a temporary one, but....JUSTICE! VISION!" P-Sta shouted as twin beams shot forth from his eyes, hitting the bomb. But instead of exploding the device, the bomb was entrapped in the barrier. "Alright, so...my Justice Vision. I can lift the bomb up..." P-Sta stated, raising his head as his beams and the barrier with the bomb inside lifted upwards. "And move it any direction really!" he stated, as he moved his head from side to side to demonstrate, the beams connected to the barrier moving along with him.

"I can also collapse it..." P-Sta stated as the barrier enclosed upon the bomb slightly. "I could explode it inside the barrier but I'm not entire sure how powerful this bomb is, my barrier may not be enough...." P-Sta shrugged. "Also, I can only hold this for a few minutes, so any suggestions on what to do next would be very helpful..."

Ishtar's gravity spell was something else entirely. Sarada had only seen it once before, when they were fighting Battersea. She couldn't sense magic, and thus couldn't tell how powerful it was, but just from the aftermath, it was obvious that it was immensely powerful. The ground cracked and cratered under her intended quarry. Their shield -- which had held up to Sarada sneak Battering Ram completely gave way under the pressure. The Nagadarr trapped inside were flattened in an instant.

Sarada allowed herself a single chuckle. That was all she had time for, as soon after, the remaining Nagadarr -- enraged at witnessing the deaths of their comrades -- turned their fire onto Ishtar.

"No." A single word uttered in defiance of their intent. No harm would come to the Oni; not while Sarada was still alive and able to fight. "Galick Gun."

Her purple aura streaked behind her as she moved with haste to hover in front of the Oni. If she had fired the Galick Gun from her previous position, she would have destroyed the entire planet, killing not only the Nagadarr, but also everyone else. Not a good outcome, hence her changing her place on the spot.

"FIRE!" The familiar beam of energy erupted from her hands, skimming across the surface of the planet en route to the Nagadarr that were firing on Ishtar.

    A few things happen:

The door opens and inside are well over five hundred children, ranging from toddler to late teens. They were unwashed, hungry, dirty, and more than a few had wounds or marks of aggression against their skin. They flinch back, the majority, though seven, clearly the oldest here, stand protectively in front of the kids. Even when they see Meagan their ire and caution is not gone.

    —————

As Sarada’s beam lances towards them, something strange happens. It suddenly jerks upward’s and curves away from the Nagadarr and out into space.

Another nearby commander, behind his barrier, smirks.

    ———

The commander facing Zaofan, P-sta, and Charco suddenly detonates the bomb. It shatters P-sta’s barrier and flattens the three fighters, wounding them all.

P-Sta folds his arms. "You know, it is possible, that I'm vastly overestimating this bomb..." he chuckled. "My barrier can probably handle it!" he stated confidently.

    That motherfu--

Whether it was out of desperation or some unclear signaling, what was clear were the universal motions of setting off a bomb.

    "LOOK O--!!"

Charco world was replaced with blinding light and deafening sounds before darkness consumed him. When he came to, he found himself several yards away on the ground, his ears ringing with all other sounds muted and distant. Sitting up, he grimaced as a sudden bolt of pain notified him of the large, jagged piece of metal currently buried into his side.

"Shit!" He hissed, slowly getting to his feet, one hand lightly grasping the massive bit of shrapnel. Dislodging it would be foolish, but he didn't feel comfortable not addressing it... or rather he was just uncomfortable with it in general.

Meagan motions for Asha'rah and Slak to stay back as she approaches them. With that, she walks slowly towards them, then Meagan begins to sing a song where the words sound more like notes of a flute than speech.

As she does, the youngest of the children begin to join her in song, gradually more and more children begin join in until the oldest of them also adds his voice to the song, sounding like a wind symphony.

The song then ends and the children gather around her, but she looks to the oldest one and speaks to him. She then touches him and he vanishes, the wave of invisibility soon spreads over all of them.

Meagan turns to Asha'rah and Slak, "We need to find away out that won't land the children in the middle of a battle. The children will follow me now. I need your help to get them to safety."

Seconds from impact, Sarada's Galick Gun suddenly jerked upward and sailed into outer space. Mysterious. Meagan said nothing of the Nagadarr being powerful enough to control their own ki outside of rudimentary blasts, much less someone else's attack.

She frowned and scanned the surroundings for the culprit. Within moments, she spotted the one responsible, smirking at her from behind his barrier.

"You fucking coward!" she bellowed. "If you were a real warrior, you'd drop your barrier and face me like a man!!"

"I guess that is an option, perhaps you and Asha'rah can go ahead and clear the way while I get the children out....." Meagan suddenly had another idea, "Or, we could combine our powers and blast a hole in the side of the ship. It's faster, but riskier."

Almost all at once, Ishtar had her answer.

First the ground shattered, the battlefield beneath the Nagadarr unable to resist the forces brought to bear against it. Then the barrier, a thing that had resisted Sarada's attempts at breaching it, shattered in a flash of light, and sound. And then, with nothing at all left to protect them then; the five Nagadarr who had thought themselves secure were flattened by the selfsame force ... dying without time to even think to scream, as gravity itself was turned against them.

At the sight, the golden-eyed Oni found herself smiling.

    Stronger than I expected.

A thing to remember, moving forward.

Yet with peals of anguish and rage, the Nagadarr that had rallied to the side of their now dead commander returned the Oni's focus to the task at hand; the time for considerations over the strength of her magic compared to her physical might could come later. So when the massive turrets found themselves turned toward Ishtar; she made ready to bring Chroma itself to her defense.

Only for Sarada to blink into existence in front of both her, and Ereshkigal, and offer her own response.

    Galick Gun.

    FIRE!

Ishtar felt it before the beam fired, the way the energy rippled just beneath the surface of Sarada's skin as it was pulled and guided into shape the split second before it fired. And when it finally did, the Oni was quite sure, as the lavender beam lanced across the battlefield, that had Sarada not angled herself such Chroma would have found itself shattered much the same was as Ilargi all those thousands of years ago. For a moment, the smile that had graced the Ishtar's face return; a brief expression of joy at her Saiyan love's strength amidst a roiling battlefield.

And at the very least, the frenzied assault levied by the Nagadarr would be ended quickly ...

    Or ... Not.

Against Sarada's wishes, clearly, the lavender beam of destruction found itself angled towards the heavens by- undoubtedly- the smirking Nagadarr commander who huddled behind a similar barrier to the one recently crushed. The Saiyan's voice carried out over the din of the battlefield not a moment later, expressing both her rage and annoyance at being denied a second time; and the Oni was inclined to agree. There was only so many times that spell could be used before Ishtar was out of steam, and if attempts to use Ki were going to cause problems- seemingly because the stronger Nagadarr could manipulate it ... a thing that had not been offered by my Meagan, or perhaps was not known- there was only so much that could be done ... unless ...

An impact to Ishtar's stomach then, caused her to stagger forward and hiss.

    Right. Turret things.

Reaching down to nurse the injury- the blasts that had merely annoyed Sarada having far more of an effect on the weaker Oni- she quickly gestured and threw up a makeshift barrier wall of Ki-amplified stone several meters thick, that would at least buy a few moments to think. Or at the very least speak to Sarada to formulate their next step.

'If more time is bought, I can perform another spell ... but such a thing is finite and I will be spent quickly. I can provide you with the time necessary to strike without risk of having your Ki manipulated as well ... simply tell me what seems best. Otherwise I will simply break the battlefield.'
Yeah, but if you... man, we're getting into weird analogy territory, like if you disintegrated Superman's arms he wouldn't be able to go "fool! Little did you know that my arms and I are one and can be remade from me!" and will his arms back into being from pure nothingness. - Pendaran

Meagan's voice emerged, gentle and light, singing a song that the children apparently knew. Perhaps it was a nursery rhyme. Whatever the case, the children began to join in, letting down their guard slightly at the sound of the familiar. It took a little while for the song to finish, during which Asha'rah watched the halls for activity. Thankfully, none came. Their attack had been swift and decisive, preventing any other section of the ship from being alerted, especially now while the Nagadaar were occupied with with a massive attack outside and an incursion into their engine room.

Meagan and Slak exchanged ideas of ways to get out. Keeping the children, the object of this mission, out of combat was a priority. With the Colossus's regenerative hull, sneaking back the way they came would confer no benefit, and in any case increase the chance of detection. Creating a distraction might work, but risked more attention being drawn to their general vicinity. Then a final idea - to blow a direct path out of the ship. Asha'rah liked this plan.

"Our presence has yet to be detected. If we are quick in the execution, we should be able to get the children out before our enemy knows to react. Slak, would you form a mental link with the others in this ship? I would prefer not to have them caught in the blast area. Meagan, if you would have the children gather together, I could carry them out in a protective bubble through the exit we make."
