Calling out, "Asha'rah, Isthar, watch my back." Meagan releases the cloak's hold, as she does she reaches out to Chris and initiates Ki-Gestalt, linking her Ki to his in order to take control of him. If it works, she should be able to drain him and shut him down.

OT: Hmm, Chris is also a ki drainer with one of his assassination techniques.

Chris’s answer to this was to attempt to drain Meagan’s ki. The push and pull was fierce, but while Meagan was one, Chris was two (with Banefire).

To her startlement, Chris starts gaining the upper hand due to his greater experience in draining other people’s ki.

Meagan's training under the Ki Master prepared her for this. With a flare of her aura, she activates a variant mix, "Kaio-ken Times 4!" As she does, the power for the Kaio-ken comes, not just from her but from Chris in a instantaneous, rapid, sucking effect that overcomes his drain and sucks the power from him. Once imitated, she cuts off the connection and goes on the attack.

As she powers up, she moves on him with insane speed, physically attacking him, backed up by the power of the Kaio-ken. Her fists and feet going after all possible weak points.

Etrina arrived, just like Sarada hoped she would, and started to manipulate time to bring her tail back. A few minutes ago, she would have been pleased and let her do her work. Now, she was more reticent.

Still, more power would do nothing but help, even if that power came with a bull's-eye. "Okay, but hurry."

"Doing my best......What is...." Etrina focused more intently on her temporal manipulation, but something was amiss. The temporal state in which Saradas Tail was whole should have been easy to align with the present...but it was out of focus. The residual energy left by the impact from Banefires bullet was creating interference with her magic, purposely or otherwise. At this rate it was impossible to correctly realign without first somehow nullifying the residual energy....and that wasn't something she could do in the middle of a firefight.

"The residue from Banefires hit is incredibly unstable....I don't think I can properly repair the damage without more time then we have to waste. You'll have to make due with what you have until we can neutralize the threat."

As Meagan charges at Chris at blinding speed, certainly far faster than Zaofan could keep up with, the chef flies at the Knife at a parallel course, but curving around to get behind him as he stands his ground. Taking out a capsule, he pops it open, with mounds of different spices in his hands.

"Yo, CHRIS! Spice up your life!"

Which Chris occupied, Zaofan flies up behind him, shoots his hands forward, and blows the cloud of salt, paprika, chili powder, jolokia powder, ghost chile powder, the spices of two alien worlds, the collection from the kitchen earlier, and more, all to surround his head -- an improvised concoction aimed at hampering Chris' eyesight, nose, and mouth, an attempt to distract him from the battle, to open up more opportunities for his friends to strike.

Chris staggers back, his ki drain overwhelmed and cut off suddenly. Meagan’s assault also throws him back in the defensive, barely able to keep up. A panicked look on his face as suddenly Zaofan appears and throws his concoction in his face.

Coughing, blind, and staggered back as Banefire starts replenishing his ki from it’s own power, Chris holds a hand out and shouts “Disintegrate!” as he raises Banefire up and fires blindly.

At Sarada.

Time stills almost as the crackling black bullet arcs towards the wounded Sarada. No one is close enough, save Etrina, to stop it.

No one but Jack.


In a swirl of ki and a muttered “Joker’s Wild” Jack appears and tackles the two girls down, taking the bullet in his shoulder and howling as it vanishes upon touching him.

Looking at Sarada, he smiles weakly.

“See ya around, spacegirl.”

And then Jack Knave disappears, his body simply breaking apart and vanishing into nothingesss.

Meanwhile Chris attempts to stagger off (with people distracted by what happened to Jack) and jump off the Lookout’s edge.

Time stills almost as the crackling black bullet arcs towards the wounded Sarada. No one is close enough, save Etrina, to stop it.

No one but Jack.


In a swirl of ki and a muttered “Joker’s Wild” Jack appears and tackles the two girls down, taking the bullet in his shoulder and howling as it vanishes upon touching him.

Looking at Sarada, he smiles weakly.

And then Jack Knave disappears, his body simply breaking apart and vanishing into nothingesss.

Zaofan is momentarily paralyzed. No special attacks, no ki up the spine. Only complete and utter shock keeps him in place.

Meanwhile Chris attempts to stagger off (with people distracted by what happened to Jack) and jump off the Lookout’s edge.

Hearing the last shuffling footsteps drag against the ground, and turning to see but a mere foot disappear over the edge, Chris disappears. But in a fit of rage, Zaofan explodes in a crimson aura and takes off, curving around the edge of the Lookout in pursuit of Jack's murderer, rocketing with gritted teeth.

"OPTIC DYNAMITE COMET!"

Firing an optic blast and boosting his speed to latch onto it, Zaofan's body joins with the blast, a body encompassed in a crimson fireball to chase after Chris and ensure that he faces justice for his heinous, unforgivable act.

"CRIMSON DYNAMITE ATTACK!"

His body already flying far beyond top speed, Zaofan pushes even further with his arms stretched out and fists forward, the fireball transforming the chef into a projectile, in an attempt to ram into Chris with explosive energy.

Before Zaofan reaches Chris, Meagan uses the last of her Kaio-ken to form a Ki disc blade, sent from close range, aimed at decapitating Chris.

Totoma hadn't known Jack very well. Yeah, they'd talked a few times, and he thought he was a hell of a fighter, but on the whole, they'd merely been acquaintances. Despite this, seeing the man... killed before his eyes, without him being able to do anything about it...

His body shook and he clenched his fists tightly enough to draw blood, even in his Hitozaru form. After a moment, he leapt into the air and began punching, sending Phantom Fist after Phantom Fist at the assassin.

Zaofan and Meagan’s attack’s pass harmlessly through as the afterimage of Chris fades away.

From far higher in the sky, well above the Lookout, Chris points and fires again.

“Petrify.”

A grey billet streaks down and strikes Zaofan in the back. Zaofan can start to feel his body hardening from the impact point.

Totoma hadn't known Jack very well. Yeah, they'd talked a few times, and he thought he was a hell of a fighter, but on the whole, they'd merely been acquaintances. Despite this, seeing the man... killed before his eyes, without him being able to do anything about it...

He sees that Chris is actually high up, his afterimage having fooled Zaofan and Meagan’s attacks. He also sees he just shot Zaofan.

"Suffocate." Came a voice from nearby, mockingly imitating his intonation.

Almost immediately, all the air rushed away from him. Even the air in his lungs would attempt to flee the area. With no medium to travel through now, his world would become deathly silent, as well.

Zaofan and Meagan’s attack’s pass harmlessly through as the afterimage of Chris fades away.

“Petrify.”

A grey billet streaks down and strikes Zaofan in the back. Zaofan can start to feel his body hardening from the impact point.

Oh no. No no no no! Not again!

Zaofan knew what it was like to feel paralyzed. But this is different, and though he could feel some similarities, the actual hardening seemed much more potent than at the tournament by Marron Balon. Zaofan ceases his flight, and aims up back towards the Lookout, but difficulty focusing might not get him up in time, like a swimmer panicking to tread water. While sputtering and erratically trying to regain height, he attempts one measure: The Kiss of the Dragon, taught by Marron. A last ditch attempt, he gathers the ki necessary to paralyze nerves in its victim, but focused inward by striking his own neck, Zaofan gambles that one paralyzing force could counter, or at least slow down, another, foreign paralyzing force. At least until he could float back up to the Lookout.

But it's a gamble nonetheless.

"Suffocate." Came a voice from nearby, mockingly imitating his intonation.

Almost immediately, all the air rushed away from him. Even the air in his lungs would attempt to flee the area. With no medium to travel through now, his world would become deathly silent, as well.

Chris struggles, unable to breathe. In a panic, he vanishes from sight using his old assassination Vanish technique.
