Dragonball M, Chapter 2: Lighthouse! Across the Shores of Shattered Time!

The punch landed in her stomache, bending her over and causing her to spit out blood. The second took her across the jaw and shattered multiple teeth and sent her flying through seven stone outcroppings.

Jagam disappears again.

Anula barely dodges again, using her hand to push the blow aside. As her hand encircles Ishtar’s arm, Ishtar feels something pass between her and the Priestess. A foreign magic starts eating into her system, trying to take root.

Speeding towards the battlefield, Ochazuke used the clouds as a crude measure of altitude as he approached. Through the expansion of Kyokushin Keihatsu the nearer he came to the combat the clearer the shape of it became to him.

How arrogant, this Sorceress. But this Saiyan Killer...

Slowing as he moved ever closer, he expanded his sense-awareness through the faintest vector of ki, between the combatants - specifically seeking that elusive one - and into the hewn terrain and the hollows of the Wastes to find any hint of the prepared energies from the evening's endeavours.

"Good, Nice to meet you Anula. Now please get off my planet and take your dog with you....he's tracking dirt." Etrina gathered her magical energy. "Or better yet, let me...its the least I can do for a guest."

While the priestess is focused on Ishtar, Etrina reaches out with her vitalmancy and starts draining the priestess strength, using it to empower a barrage of icy howl shards at launch at her back.

"We've arrived."

Straightening his stance, Ochazuke loosened the sleeves of his cloak and aired out its pockets as he spoke to the four Channel Foci Etrina left with him; the little Green one he seized directly and snapped to attention.

"Your creator seems to have some portion of the battle well in hand, attacking the Sorceress in tandem with Ishtar" he said, "So you all may yet have a moment to prepare."

Jagam truly appeared to have turned invisible, even though she knew that such wasn't possible for a Saiyan. Which could only mean one of three things. 1) It was an ability bestowed upon him by his Threshling heritage. Not likely, as she would assume Nevanlinna would have mentioned it at some point yesterday.

2) He was using some manner of technology to conceal his movements until the last moment.

3) He was using some manner of magic.

The third was far more likely, given his companion. Unfortunate for Parsley, magic was not something she could pierce through with Observstional Focus at the moment, so just simply finding him was out of the question. The obvious result was to flush him out.

There was no better way than to make it seem that she was attempting to turn the battle into her favor. As such, she created a white ball in her hand and tossed it into the air.

"Blood Moon!" she shouted.

Come out, come out, dog.

Giving Etrina a nod and a quick thanks, Ishtar -- coated in vomited blood -- turns her gaze up toward the Threshling Witch and offers once more three words with outstretched palms.

"Vairyanãm Anghu Raocah."

The blast takes her and send her well off, her battered body falling to the ground, unmoving, after the beam ends.

"Your creator seems to have some portion of the battle well in hand, attacking the Sorceress in tandem with Ishtar" he said, "So you all may yet have a moment to prepare."

Most are scattered already. He does get a sense of Jagam, briefly, before it vanishes under his unseen Magic’s.

Nothing happens. Jagam stays hidden.

Nevanlinna had been watching the... spectacle herself, from a distance. She'd known that her half-brother had some measure of competency with the arcane arts--how could he not, given his heritage, diluted as it was? But for them to struggle with such banal tricks... feh. She floated into the air, gaining a vantage point above the battlefield.

"Must I do everything myself?" She held out her hand, finger pointed at the ground, a strange energy crackling around it. After a moment, the energy, a small bolt, shot toward the ground near Sarada. When it impacted, it exploded into a seemingly harmless wave of energy that washed over the battlefield.

Null Magic Field

A simple trick that would dispel all sorceries currently in existence within a given area. While a half-complete technique at the moment, useless against a sorcerer of the caliber of herself, Anula, Ishtar, or even that Earthling upstart, Etrina, it should be more than enough to dispel Jagam's little... cantrip, focused as he was on the arts of ki and combat.

Nothing happens. Jagam stays hidden.

Interesting. He didn't take the bait.

Smarter than I'd give him credit for though.

Parsley clicked her tongue and formed more white balls to toss into the sky, the fired a gray blast toward the ground. When it impacted, it burrowed itself underground rather than explode.

“Sister.”

He disappears and reappears behind her, a punch landing to the back of her head in an attempt to knock her out.

The blast takes her and send her well off, her battered body falling to the ground, unmoving, after the beam ends.

The Threshling Witch out of commission, Ishtar teleports over toward where her battered body landed, and quickly sets about binding the woman, with magic.

"Dar-Tanu."

Ensuring then that she might not be able to extricate herself should she wake -- unlikely given the state of her -- the Oni then returned to the immediate battlefield.

Now where was Jagam ...

Jagam reappears suddenly. He looks up and snarls at Neva.

“Sister.”

He disappears and reappears behind her, a punch landing to the back of her head in an attempt to knock her out.

An gray energy vine shot out of the ground and wrapped itself tightly around one of his arms to throw him off-balance. Another shot out right after it to wrap around his neck.

Parsley started to descend toward the ground to join the battle.

Jagam reappears suddenly. He looks up and snarls at Neva.

“Sister.”

He disappears and reappears behind her, a punch landing to the back of her head in an attempt to knock her out.

"Betrayer."

The punch passes right through her head as she activated her Body of Water technique, transforming herself, briefly, into that very substance. Her amorphous liquid body curls around his arm and when she rematerializes, she is in position for a throw. She twists her body, attempting to throw Jagam towards the ground. Or, more specifically, towards Sarada. Surely, the new Queen would appreciate her gracious offering.

Neva throws Jagam towards the ground where grey mists wrap around parts of him, keeping him contained momentarily.

Anula is bound securely.

Most are scattered already. He does get a sense of Jagam, briefly, before it vanishes under his unseen Magic’s.

Most of the preparations were scattered in the ashen rock and rubble that scattered across the landscape. Indeed with every shake of the wastes with each blow of the clashing warriors below, more of that melange of energies seemed to bleed out.

"They think the energy is sundered entirely even as they wade through it," he said to Etrina's Four Foci. "You can see them too, like veins within the rock-"

As he parsed this information, from his view above the battlefield Ochazuke tilt his head by the merest degree as Jagam's violent presence flashed for a moment, then disappear entirely.

Completely antithetical to the boisterous Saiyan method of facing front and striking heedlessly, the half-Threshling may have had their blood, but certainly none of their ethic. Ochazuke mused that, perhaps, that is how he had been successful in killing so many.

"Heh, a living weapon. You would think one instrument of destruction would recognize another as he stands among them."

Navanlinna's assistance was timely, and thankfully her own attack stopped it from stepping on her toes. Now, Jagam was secured for the time being, just as Parsley arrived.

Immediately, a milky white orb appeared in her hand. "Keep back," she told Nevanlinna and whoever else as she tossed it Jagam. If it struck him true, it would fill his breathing air with her ki nullifying mist to weaken him and make him more manageable.

"Looks like Etrina and Ishtar have the secondary enemy at their combined mercy, as expected." The Blue Etrina appraised the situation with calculating eyes.

"Tsk....I suppose we were expecting too much from Jagams pocket mage." The White Etrina fumed.

Landing next to Ishtar and the secured Anula. Etrina was at a loss for a moment. ".....at the risk of jinxing our efforts....I was expecting more. At the very least we've neutralized his assistance." The mage added a layer of sealing magic to Ishtars, just in case.
