Jack smiled and shook his head slowly.

"Don't you ever change Spacegirl."

Titillated? Maybe. But though he hid it from his face, Jack felt something of a cold emptiness welling up within him. Titillation. Attraction. Lust. Sex. That was what his relationship was Sarada was, or at least, how she felt, it seemed.

Which wasn't...bad...exactly. But, Jack knew that pool so shallow, boiling hot though it might, could never truly satisfy him.

Jack patted Sarada on the head, "Keep a hand on your knife 'till we're outta here."

Jack followed behind Ocha, raising his a finger to his mouth, and sneaking behind him. With everything going on it did make sense to let the man go alone, and if Jack knew how to do anything, it was stalk and ambush.

And gamble. And fight.

Sarada grinned when she saw the lust and arousal rise in Jack's eyes, but it fell away when he… patted her on the head and went off with Ochazuke to investigate what the latter sensed?

True, they had more important things to worry about and it wasn't the best time, but she figured that he'd have some kind of reaction. Maybe a flirty wink, or smirk, or promise to make her pay for teasing him like that. Something.

But, she got nothing

What if Parsley was right? What if he already has moved on?

Maybe not to the point of mating with someone else, but to the point that he was close.

No, no. That was a dumb thought. He was just busy concentrating on other, more important things. It was fine.

Her sister was not right, and was very much wrong. Jack was just… different, that was all. He never was the teasing type, like Ishtar had become.

It's fine. I'll just talk to him later and catch up. He probably just missed me and doesn't want to say.

“Adam, we need to make an array that transmits on a secured, hidden, channel. It will also need to interface with an outdated GP system for remote access.”

He taps rapidly on his datapad, drawing up quick schematics and showing them to Adam.

“If you morph your body into this configuration and broadcast on this frequency, you should be able to grant me access to Enoki’s ship.”

Meanwhile, he gestures for everyone to get ready or to hide as OchaUke and Jack go off.

Ochazuke discovers at least four more cloaked mounds beyond the first. He can’t quite penetrate what’s inside save a few flitting feelings of movement.

Sarada squared her shoulders and pushed everything about Jack and all that to the back of her mind. A fight was incoming and she needed to be ready.

Ishtar nodded, when the word was given to prepare.

In a way, the Oni needed this. The matter of the alternate timeline had been a needling presence for some time, as had the simmering anger at what had been done to her, and the ones she cared for. It would be nice to find a release in combat, a thing she had begun to develop a taste for beyond even what the suppression of that more bestial half had engendered. And while she could not say she would ultimately enjoy what was coming as much as she might a spar, showing Sarada the results of her training was a thing to look forward to.

So taking a breath then to steady her mind, Ishtar turned all thoughts toward doing just that.

Meagan walks over to the Saiyan children to talk with them, "Have you ever heard of a game called Hide and Seek?" With that she goes invisible, then touches each one. As she does, the children also turn invisible to everyone except Meagan and each other. She then stands nearby, waiting. She has decided that, while she will fight, she will not let harm come to the children.

“Take the power from the downed pods and convert it. That should be enough. We don’t need longer than ten seconds.”

Sequestered some distance away behind what little cover he could find, Ochazuke relayed this information through the communicators.

"There are four things hidden under cover...though I'm not sure what they are," he said, "I take it they are no Saiyan devices, which means we are being watched."

Stretching his hand out, he focused his energy into sculpting an orb of energy, flattening its edge to a cutting edge.

"We'll soon find out if they're hostile. If they are, get out of here."

Turning toward the cloaked targets, Ochazuke threw out one Flash Cutter after another, sending four of these orbs spinning toward them from one side. Charging another series, he threw four more above to mark them from another angle.

Meagan walks over to the Saiyan children to talk with them, "Have you ever heard of a game called Hide and Seek?" With that she goes invisible, then touches each one. As she does, the children also turn invisible to everyone except Meagan and each other. She then stands nearby, waiting. She has decided that, while she will fight, she will not let harm come to the children.

She speaks again to the children, "Stay close to me and to each other." As she does, she tenses up, ready to react if there is a threat.

"Very well. No one touch my salvage." Adam extends tendrils to the pods, siphoning their power while the rest of it assumes the form of the transmitter.

Just before Ochazuke launches his attack, a hidden hangar opens and an older model GP ship roars into life, shooting out into the sky under Adam’s control.

The hidden stealthed bunkers open up fire at it, revealing themselves even as Ochazuke strikes.

Of the five he spotted and targets, he takes out one in a small explosion. The other four ignore the ship and swivel towards him, their cloaking gone. Before the lot of you are four turrets manned by Junjo basic automatons, spread out from each other by at least two hundred feet. They begin opening fire.

Meanwhile, Adam lands the ship down before losing control, no longer able to sustain the remote connection.

The hidden stealthed bunkers open up fire at it, revealing themselves even as Ochazuke strikes.

Of the five he spotted and targets, he takes out one in a small explosion. The other four ignore the ship and swivel towards him, their cloaking gone. Before the lot of you are four turrets manned by Junjo basic automatons, spread out from each other by at least two hundred feet. They begin opening fire.

Meanwhile, Adam lands the ship down before losing control, no longer able to sustain the remote connection.

The plan worked and the Junjo defenses were detected by Enoki's remotely controlled ship. The turrets opened fire, revealing themselves to the group at large.

Ochazuke managed to take one out. Sarada took to the air to the same to another. As she flew toward the right-most one, swerving around to avoid being hit by it's return fire, she fired twelve blasts of her own.

The remotely control ki balls veered upward to avoid being taken out by the turret as Sarada drew its fire, and looped around to strike it from behind.

Meagan raises her shield, not around herself but around the children. As she does, she raises her hand and a huge Kienzan formed high a above her, spinning like a buzz saw on steroids. With a movement of her arm, the kienzan flew right at one of the turrets, to slice it in half.

The plan worked and the Junjo defenses were detected by Enoki's remotely controlled ship. The turrets opened fire, revealing themselves to the group at large.

"Huh! Company, eh?" P-Sta asked aloud, leaping into the air and raising his hand. "Take a heaping helping of this, ne'erdowells! Justice Ball!" He shouted tossing a red orb of ki at one of the turrets. If connected properly, it would ricochet from on turret to the next.

Ishtar watched the others engage the turrets with a look of something approaching concern. That Sarada, Meagan, and P-Sta seemed to have the turrets well enough handled, was at least something of a boon ... and while it was obvious these things were employed by the Junjo, the Space Imps themselves were absent. And with the focus now pulled towards the five machine-manned turrets; there was a at least a flickering realization that it might itself be a distraction.

So turning her focus away from the turrets, the golden-eyed Oni attempts to see if there is anything approaching from above, or behind.

The sound and shriek of the spaceship seemed to draw the attention of the turrets and exposed their cover as they cast out energy.

Poor timing for a launch. Do you seek give your means of escape to them as a target?

Exasperated thoughts faded quickly as the guns began to swivel towards him, but it did not escape his sense-awareness that no life nor sentient mind moved these weapons in their rote patterns.

"The Junjo aren't among these machines," he relayed, "stay alert."

Flying inward, Ochazuke drew the tracking path of the fire from one turret, drawing the path of the gunfire of its counterparts into the one. As Sarada, Meagan and P-Sta made their attacks, Ochazuke fired a series of Dodonpa up to the second series of Flash Cutters he left in the sky. On impact, the beams of ki were reflected downward to strike the turrets at a blind angle from above.

Meagan raises her shield, not around herself but around the children. As she does, she raises her hand and a huge Kienzan formed high a above her, spinning like a buzz saw on steroids. With a movement of her arm, the kienzan flew right at one of the turrets, to slice it in half.

Once launched at the target, Meagan, still invisible, suppresses her ki and moves in closer to the children who are also invisible and shielded.
