Hmm. That actually worked...Is that because Incenio has gotten sloppy with his security?...

The Nevadian stepped out of the elevator rapidly, taking in his surroundings.

Or is it more that he's not the kind of guy who needs that sort of lock on his elevator? I get the feeling that not many people would even think of this...I wonder if I should even bother...I mean, for all I know Sarada or Meagan, or Chaco might actually win the gem...And Incenio might actually keep his word.

The Nevadian moved his hand from his mouth, finally, wiping his hand on his shirt, before letting it rest at his side.


So many doors.....I guess I'd better try to stack the odds in my favor...I don't know how much time I have, after all.

The Nevadian glanced at the doors, closing his eyes a moment later. He reopened them, and the power of The Shingan manifested itself, as Held used it to attempt to scan the area. If nothing else, he might be able to figure out the areas to avoid, and work his way through via the process of elimination.

With it activated, he can scan through much of the rooms. Hotel and casino amenities, cleaning supplies, etc.......

Another elevator, hidden in a workroom, goes further down where he can scan and see Althena’s powerlevel and a familiar one. Chris the Knife is close to her’s.

The head butting does little to actually injure Haru, but the poison gas with his heightened senses absolutely does. Coughing and sputtering, he is off balance, distracted, and not dodging for the moment.

There! That was the distraction Parsley was looking for. She closed her eyes and took a breath of fresh air before leaving onto his back. When her hands grabbed onto him, she inhibited his ki to start weakening him, then negated his ability to power up.

She then kicked off him and retreated to safety. That should turn the tide in our favor.

When the match begins, Spidus immediately goes into a mental battle with Meagan. His psychic powers trying to pry and tear apart her mind. On the outside, his body doesn’t move or twitch.

The Nevadian frowned, nervousness forming at the pit of his stomach as he walked towards the workroom. Chris the Knife was nearby, not far from Althena's location. While he didn't detect the same dark, omnious energy as he did from the Chris of his universe, something was still amiss. It was a hidden portion, out of the way, and yet there he was. Whatever reason he had for being down there was unlikely to benefit Helds own.

He stepped into the elevator, pressing the close button. After a moments calculation, he pressed the button to bring him to the same floor as Althena.

Damnit...It'd probably be better to focus on the gem, but I can't risk something going crazy down there between those two. She's certainly strong enough, but not exactly the most tactful frog on the lili pad...

He folded his arms, frowning as the door closed.

Hopefully this can be resolved without there being too much trouble....Or I can check in without giving too much away....I guess it's time to play drunk, eh?

Etrina missed by an inch as Tasure’s kick staggered the hybrid just enough that the timing of the attack was off.

It did not save her from Ishtar, who, enraged, enacted a different type of attack.

For the first time Glacia screamed in pain as tiny rivulets of metal rip out of a dozen places across her body. There wasn’t a lot of Katchin, maybe only a pound or two, but it has been strategically placed in certain places to up her lethatkuty.

Regardless, Ishtar ripped it out of her amidst purple blood.

Glacia sceams and her energy flares, destroying the Lookout for twenty feet around and casting everyone back. Floating upwards, panting as her Threshling nature starts healing her, she angrily looks at the assembled group.

“You stupid peasants. Death Beam Barrage!”

She holds out all her fingers and a powerful death beam forms at each. Ten beams launch out at incredible speeds towards the Lookout and it’s defenders.

"Peasants, are they? Hmph, then shall Royalty suffice?" came Nevanlinna's voice as she appeared in front of the death beams, hand on her sword. She was positioned in such a way that none of them would hit her, but...

In a swift motion, she drew her sword, activating her Azur Blade of Au--... well, considering circumstance, just calling it the Azure Blade was more appropriate, and attacked in an arc in a precise path, hitting as many of the death beams as she could as they passed her by. She didn't have the power to stop them at the moment, but she had concentrated the energy of the azure blade on a small part of her sword, and hit the death beams with that section. In theory, it should be enough to divert them away from the lookout.

"Peasants, are they? Hmph, then shall Royalty suffice?" came Nevanlinna's voice as she appeared in front of the death beams, hand on her sword. She was positioned in such a way that none of them would hit her, but...

Another five of the death beams are blasted and countered by a massive crimson beam.

Floating in the air at an angle from the rest, Alt Zaofan’s eyes glow a deep crimson.

“A Sheriff protects his people. These here are my people, and I aim to keep ‘em safe.”

Glacia glares daggers at the Sheriff.

“Traitor.” She hisses, riding up into the air, power flaring around her.

Alt Zaofan shakes his head.

“Nah, just finally back to who I was supposed to be before the Doctor.”

The two lunge at each other and the battle is on.

Down the hidden elevator and once the doors open Held finds that he is in the holding cell area. All are empty save one, where Althena is in. Outside her cell is a knocked out guard and a grinning Chris the Knife.

“You must be the Nevadian I kept hearing.”

The others would easily be able to deal with two of the beams, so, without further haste, Nevanlinna joined Sheriff Zaofan in the fray, creating a double of herself to close off this imposter's avenues of escape. Of course, she sheathed her sword, relying purely on her (admittedly meager) melee skills, out of caution. Glacia might think to use someone as a human shield and striking down one of her allies would not bode well for her future with the group.

As she attack, her--and her double's-- aura(s) flared, becoming like a flame as she activated her Aura of Fire technique to increase her melee damage and... discourage attack.

"So poison was your weakness after all, huh?" Sasheem asked coating the Bear's Claws in his Venom Mist and stabbing Haru in the neck as whatever the hell Parsley did took effect.

As Sasheem attacked Haru, Totoma held out his hands as if he were about to charge a Kamehameha, his aura flaring green as he activated his Legendary Saiyan ki. However, it was not a Kamehameha. Instead, a circle of energy formed between his hands, and his aura flared outwards, engulfing Haru--



--and working to immobilize him as Sasheem did his thing. This was a new technique he'd been working on... sort of. It was technically based on his threads technique, but with... other things he'd gleaned over time worked into it. He called it...
