It's obvious that Praxat's strength and speed have been boosted a great deal, so much so that she's able to attack from a distance with her shockwave punches when normally she wouldn't be able to do so.

Koolard vanished, dodging between attacks instead of simply taking them now. His mind seems only half on task, his body on a defensive mode as he scans around as if looking for something.

Taking a few big hits between the barrages fired his way, and looking rougher for it, his eyes suddenly widen and a smirk crosses his lips. In an instant, he takes off away from the Lookout, streaking across the sky. As he goes, he rapid fires beams that streak out across the sky, aiming at inhabited cities.

Solarius smiles, blocking the blows and returning some of his own, the two seemingly equally matched.

“Terrarius is sickly still, yes. Lunarius is looking out for him presently. I’ll send them your regards. How’s the Lion?”

    There are Reptalian weapons.

Chris moves down to the next level, and calls to them over the comms to see this.

Going down they find multiple vault rooms filled with jewels, cash, art, sculptures, and pretty much anything dozens of planets find valuable or prescious.

An odd question to ask out if the blue. He knew a fair amount of the mythology of his own timeline, but who's to say the legends in this alternate world were one and the same? Best to play it safe.

"I'm quite sad to say that I was never truly taught any by my family," Blizzar sighed with false regret. "Why do you ask, pray tell?"

On the next level Althena hands Held a Replita spear , bow ,and arrows she had grabbed , but keeps a Replita spike club she also had grabbed from the last level," Held this is Replita spear and these are Replita arrows . The tips of this spear and those arrows are Vear teeth, which are extremely sharp and durable ," Althena said.

The gigantic spike club that Althena is holding is two times her own size.

It came swiftly as a change in the wind. Lashing across the Lookout plaza, two golden auras burned amid the choking grey; no longer and instinctual seizing of raw emotion, instead of a breaking point that plucked them from reason, Parsley and Totoma found a new firmament to stand upon.

A light which burning away all impediments to strike them down.

In a flash of motion and power, they heard Koolards primal challenge and struck out to answer, and there in the language of heated blood would they make their claim. In this moment of refinement it must have been as if nothing else existed but the clash of fists heralded by a shout and burning.

A small smile lift from the corner of Ochazuke's face. Perhaps this is the truest expression there of the Saiyan way. No longer lost, when they had found something to fight for, their brilliance was rendered in a sharpened edge of purest intention.

His musing was silent and measured, for descending from the chaff into this was like entering the eye of a storm. In the wake of the blazing golden light and the roaring shockwave thunder, the silent voice of the planet itself flowed around the violence, passing through with its silent whispers unheard. Even as the Earth set the stage for a battle beyond reckoning across the fractured ages, Ochazuke felt it upon him.

Zxu'ro's technique guided his unpracticed hand; as written, he witnessed the silent breath of the world gathered toward him as it and filled him with the course of gathered living wills. They collectively beckoned him, for in the wake of such catastophic struggle, who would hear their small voices?

Is this it? Is it finished?

    Default Retcons for Rutaba

Quote Originally Posted by Sub-Zero MKA View Post

A more experienced fighter would have known immediately that she was in danger and would have taken steps to remove herself from the situation to reassess and regroup. Rutaba, on the other hand, had only just started her formal training a year ago, and thus hadn't developed the fighting instinct of her much older cousins. She didn't recognize the shift in Ochazuke's body position until it was too late to escape. She saw the double punch and moved to defend, but could only defend the one from above.

The upper punch pushed her guard back into her face. The lower knocked the wind clean out of her and threw her off her feet. She landed hard on her back.

The comments he made while attacking registered finally. She didn't know what any of that meant. All she knew was that criminals were bad and needed to be sent to prison so they could learn from their actions and become better people!

She knew that they were desperate. Being unemployed and hungry did that. But, everyone struggled in the Meat Market, yet criminal activity wasn't as rampant as one would expect. What led to this so-called malice that led men to break the law and menace their neighbors? Wasn't this rule of man the same as the rule of law?

She struggled to her knees, breathing heavily in an attempt to catch her breath. "Lawless... people don't... care," she wheezed softly. "That...'s why we... take them... off the streets. So good people... can feel safe."
In the followthrough of his last strike, Ochazuke held his stance as Rutaba rose up. Shakily, pained, she nonetheless continued.

    He surveyed her, ever vigilant.

"The lawless don't care," he reiterated. "For only good people obey the law." His fists opened to spread palms as he sunk his stance. "Perhaps a man bound by law may be moved and twist from his darker nature by an understanding held in common. However-"

Suddenly, with a terse exhale, a hard kiai shook the air between them, striking upon Rutaba like a forceful gale.

If it were only that simple.

"-if the Law is Justice, then it is something that can be changed." In an instant, his broad frame seemed to vanish from sight.

Whereabouts unknown, until his voice sounded out behind her.

"I heard from your royal cousin that your people have a fond history of rebellion. A man may be compelled to withhold his worse impulses, but he will not be leashed, twisted, and forced from his right to live by the force of a mere word.

A hand rest itself, cold as a knife's edge, upon her spine. Set, unmoving from the point of contact.

"When the Rule of Law has failed to shield those who depend on it most, it instead suffocates where it does not shatter. Justice cannot be merely contained in a written word, acted in retribution for poor conduct."

He did not move again, though with the situation reset, he had the advantage as he awaited her answer.

"If the law were sufficient, there would be no need for heroes."

Having sped past the lookout in his increasingly rapid surf across the chaff, Sasheem noted that the Yeti had drif Ted off somewhere.

"Ohyougottabekiddingmeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!" Sasheem managed to shout, the velocity causing his jaw to flap in the wind as he searched for his target. ...and there was something else he had sensed as well, even as he left the viscinity for one last circuit. A large well of ki, but...something was off about it. It was ineed powerful but something about it felt... like light. Pure. It was disgusting.

But whatever it was was, if it could kill this Yeti bastard...another fool who was encroaching on his territory, then he'd welcome it...for now.

As he neared the city one last time, he zapped a cloud, turning in into a pepper and caught it in his hands. The pepper, a ghost chili specifically, had put something of an extra pep in the Majin's step, sending him careening across the chaff.

Blue face turning red and tears welling up in his eyes, he was going to hit the hybrid with his Samehada...which he'd coated in a little chili-enhanced Venom Mist.

This attack wasn't strong enough to kill the stupid sack of ****...though, at the speed it was going, Sasheem had hoped it would stun or distract the hybrid just long enough. That yeti bastard wasn't just gonna dodge that big ball of energy, he was gonna EAT IT.

Sasheem launched the Samehada, at Koolard, he himself accelerating to the point that he smeared himself across the chaff wall.

"Blrghrgrghggrhrgrhrhrharglbloggle..." he stammered as he skidded across the barrier, reforming himself as swiftly as he could just in case **** still went south.

The parallels to Incenio Blizzar could draw from this were, perhaps, a cause for concern. Even so, his tone remained calm. "A bit, here or there. But, please, continue. I assume this tale is...relevant in some way to your net losses?"

    "Ochazuke? The Spirit Bomb!"

Zaofan took a quick moment to see his martial brother take off as well, Bomb well in hand, the culmination of Zxu'Ro's training thus far. With the divine projectile's launch, Zaofan knew he couldn't sit this out any longer, having missed much of it already.

With his ki aura already primed and ready, the chef launches in flight, first by augmenting his leg thrust with The Bear's Strength to propel him into the air, then initiating the Optic Dynamite Comet to turn himself into a human rocket, and finally increasing his speed by following Ochazuke's lead -- The Wolf's Prowl. Even with all those boosts, however, Ochazuke and the Spirit Bomb have a considerable head start, without enough time to catch up to him much less their opponent. With two objectives in mind, Zaofan quickly...

    1. Fires a sizable burst of Optic Blast at the Spirit Bomb, simultaneously infusing it directly with his own ruby energy and pushing it even faster towards the target

    then

    2. Diverts his flight path lower into the atmosphere in an attempt to try to get ahead of the beam's curved path aimed at the closest city, pushing his limits and tolerance as best he can. "Intercept! INTERCEPT!"

By flying straight and low to the city, Zaofan aims to put himself between the blast and the people, to use the Scarlet Shield reinforced with the Bear's Strength and timed to activate at the last possible nanosecond upon impact using The Wolf's Prowl.

    "Bastard!"

The coward! Running away instead of fighting like the warrior he purported himself as being. Wait... no. Through the golden haze of her newfound power, her senses and instincts still resonated and prevailed, allowing her to see past the obvious.

His intent wasn't to run away, to retreat. Even though Parsley and Totoma had transformed, he still held something of an advantage. Even as he fired blast after blast at populated cities filled with innocent bystanders, it seemed to sudden and too random to be his main intention. There was something else lying underneath, some other motive to his sudden madness.

Parsley launched herself off the Lookout in hot pursuit. The others could handle the cities; someone had to keep tabs on Koolard, and that was her assigned task.

It was much easier to think and to sift through her thoughts in this form this time than the last time. Granted, her emotions had been worn raw the last time, but that was a good and encouraging sign.

    What's that?

She had noticed, but not paid much attention to, Ochazuke remaining rooted to on particular spot for the last several minutes. She had noticed the peculiar energy he seemed to be drawing within himself, and would have wondered what kind of technique it was had she not been so preoccupied. Now, with the battle due to switch venues, that technique had reached its climax.

A ball of pure blue energy shot from his hand, and careened across the sky toward their mutual target.

Her eyes narrowed, but she didn't relent in her pursuit. If the creature eluded the blast somehow, she would be ready to make sure it still struck true.

In the world of Magecraft, Apprentice-hood was regarding as one...if not THE....most important stage of a Mages life. It was a time of learning, where a young mage was expected to learn from the older and wiser mage....a passing of knowledge, the most important currency in the mage world. While many mage families took their own as apprentices....this was not always a luxury one could take. More often apprentices with no proper tries were assigned to a senior mage where they would spend the remainer of their apprenticeship as a glorified hand-maiden.

....and through the events of her apprenticeship were far from normal, as Lillet Lilac finished inventory for the 3th time she couldn't help but feel at least this part of her training would be accurate to the stories.

Carrying the paperwork with her, Lillet climbed from the Cargo compartment into the front of the small aircraft where her master sat with the autopilot on and a grimoire at least 2/3 complete.

"The shipment is all accounted for........" Lillet reported.
"Just like it was the last time and the time before that...." Lillet mentally muttered.

Helena Blavatsky ignored her for a moment in favor of an important passage, quickly adjusting her tiny pair of glasses.....then snapped back into reality and turned to stare. "....I'm sorry what?"

"....everything in the hold is accounted for...." Lillet answered timidly.
"....You'd know if you paid attention any other time I said it...." Lillet thought with a internal grimace.

"Oh right, right....very good. Important friend asked for these to be delivered to a very special place..." Helena snapped her book shut with almost giddy expectation. "We should be getting close...In the meantime though perhaps some coffee is in order." Helena fiddled with the build in dispenser for a moment.....then let out a loud curse when she seemingly burned her finger, immediately popping it in her mouth with a sulking look completely unfitting her status. Heleana was only a few years older then her, but was so high in status and knowledge that the girl was actively taking on apprentices with the same authority as a mage twice her age......though Lillets case had been a special one....

While Helena was distracted with her finger, Lillet sat down in the side seat and began working with the dispenser tools to get a cup prepared. In this at least, Lillet had no conflict with her master....mandatory breaks for drink and conversation were something Helena was adamant to maintain even in stressful situations.

"How would you like your coffee master?" Lillet asked her master as she poured, and immediately regretted her absentmindedness as the master mage smuged responded the way she always responded to that question.

"I like my coffee like I like my Magic, Black and Bitt~! Ha!" Helena began to announce when a wave a force hit the small craft, sending the coffee spashing over the seat....with enough getting on Helenas leg to elect a yelp and a frantic wiping.

Lillet, who managed to stabilize herself, looked out the window. ".....Wow.....I think.....I think I just saw someone on a surfboard...."

"Owow...Oh come on that's ridiculous..." Helena explained and joined Lillet in viewing the air ahead.......and off in the distance.....

The lookout was barely a dot from where they were, but something was moving away and emitting a several of light beams that lit up the dim chaff choked skies. Each curved in its own direction....but one in particular was veering in their direction, if the slowly growing brightness was any indication.

"Is.....Is that an energy attack?" Lillet squinted her eyes. The beam was curving downwards as it went....so it was unlikely to hit them. However the young mage quickly looked out the side window and realized to her horror that whatever this was....it wasn't meant for them. They were passing over Carnival City, a popular vacation spot....and on its current downward curve the beam would no doubt hit the heart of the city.

"Its gonna hit the city..." Lillet spoke outloud. "Its gonna hit the city!"

"Damnit!" Helena swore and grabbed the controls. "....No time for theatrics. Sanat Kumara, intercept course!"

A shadow passes overhead, a massive circular space vessel that was the manifestation of Helenas Familiar. Sanat Kumara, Heavenly Lord of the Flame......it was of the highest order of familiars, though it raised quite a few eyebrows and questions regarding its nature.

"Nanna! ...H....Help!" Lillet sent her command, and in her minds eye she could hear the seductive chuckle of a response.

    "As you wish, Little Lilac."

Arc Kumara dipped below the ship as it moved to the path in front of the beam....and for a moment Lillet caught the shape of a small figure standing on the top of the saucer shaped familiar, sword planted firmly into the hull. If the situation were not serious Helena would have shared some expressive dialogue at the sight, but t the speed the craft moved it was out their immediate sight before the thought could form.

    ---

Using her blade to keep steady, Nanna managed to remain steady as the ship came to an abrupt stop in the path of the beam.

With a cocky smirk, the oni-like familiar took a swig from the massive gourd handing from her hip, pulled her sword from the ships hull and spat the contents onto it....then spun it along the ground to produce the heat and sparks necessary to ignite it. The blade erupted with blueish green fire that heated the blade up until it was glowing....not with heat, but with pure magic.

.....Taking a secondary *and perhaps even longer* swig of her gourd, she tossed it effortlessly behind her with it abruptly vanished into the ether.....exhaled a breath of intoxicating mist, and readied as her body began glowing with power.

"...3 feet to the right Kumara dear.......thats it.....now 2 up.......yes.....yes...ehehe.....and hold.......hold........" Nanna pulled back her sword arm, and as the beam reached them she made and underhand swing upwards.

The blade seemed to grow in size as she swung, but it was the aura it produced that grew....striking the understand of the blast with such force the redirected it straight up, past the front of the smaller craft(which sent the two mages on their butts) and up into the chaff barrier.

"....ara..." Nanna looked up with a smile. "....I did it master, ehe."

"YOU ALMOST FRIED US!" Lillet mentally fired back.
"that was close..." Lillet said outloud, putting a hand over her chest.

"The hell is going on over there.....Damnit did she call me here just to get roped into another damn freakshow!" Helena swore, and fighting ever urge to turn around she called Arc Kumara back with Nanna aboard to act as an escort. "Damn it Etrina I'm expecting way more then a favor for this...." The two took off towards the location of the lookout, the arc following close behind with Nana now sitting cross legged with a not to sober look crossing over her face.
