According to this full Cheddar interview, Comcast is actually at a better position when it comes to antitrust laws than AT&T because the main issue with AT&T acquiring Time Warner content is that they are a national player, while Comcast is simply a regional player.
Netflix earned over $2 billion in profit and spending a huge amount it claims on original programming. It raised its debt basically to spend on original programming. The service leads everything and has over 100+ million subscribers. Hulu is a very distant 3rd and has under 20+ million. Its grew in subscribers a lot since they have pushed a new version of the service and more. As of right now ...Hulu is has 4 owners who pay a split cost. It will be 3 and the majority owner is gonna have to handle the load on paying for content. Whether it be Disney or Comcast.
Also as far as antitrust laws go Comcast is a telecommunications company and owning IP's is a scary deal as mentioned before. Its why folks aren't pleased at all with them getting that since they aren't a trustworthy company already and now getting IP's would have them possibly do worse things. (go google some calls Comcast gets as customer service lol)

Do people really want a company like this owning IP's right now ?

It doesn't seem that you're grasping the danger in this it's not about how the IP's will fare under Comcast they'll do fine it's about the potential of Comcast using IP's as leverage in service wars. Comcast and AT&T if their individual mergers go through could use IP's as exclusives for their telecommunications services and force out competitors. We are entering a new Format War with streaming and IP hoarding is scary enough but IP hoarding with Telecommunications is terrifying.

It's not about Fox doing well under Comcast but as Jokerz79 said, a telecom hoarding IP. Comcast could very easily pull Fox from everything it's on now and have be exclusive only to it's services. Being a television and internet provider they have control of those distribution channels in the areas they provide for.
Disney is planning its own streaming service. It could easily do the same and "pull Fox from everything" and have it be exclusive only to its services. And all of this is assuming people will want to watch Fox content so much that they will ditch Comcast's competitors just for those IP's (I mean, Comcast could have done the same with Universal IP's too if they are prone to do that). Not buying the telecom companies are more "dangerous" than Disney handwringing.
Still, it is an exclusive requiring a paid subscription (albeit one that won't be as cost exhaustive, but still costly enough knowing Disney).
Also, we are talking about some entertainment IP's here, not life sustaining food or water. If Comcast pulls something like this, not many people will bite no matter how much they love their mutants or xenomorphs.
