Why wouldn't they wait until this event ends to bring back Superman's red trunks? It would have made an awesome final splash page to showcase the return of the old DCU.

If only all of life's problems were so easy to reboot/wish away.
I would use the Dragon Balls or something to get rid of my student and car loans...
yeah, we haven't had the original DCU in decades.
Flashpoint just replaced another replacement.

Could this mean...?
I am expecting the end of Rebirth and the Source Wall fix to be the event of 2020.
Likely not a reboot, per se, but more of a 'we're done cherry picking the characters and histories and have sealed the door shut again' type thing.

Rebirth is over internally, they have stopped branding comics rebirth and geoff johns isn't advising creators. That was the extent of rebirth. Just fans keep using the term, you can no writers/official social media accounts use rebirth when talking about the books currently anymore.

I wonder how poorly used and annoying he'll be this time around.
Technically, it won't be over until the threads from the Rebirth Special are finished.
If Rebirth is considered 'done', it's remarkably unfinished.
My understanding is that Rebirth would be completed with the end of Doomsday Clock, the restoration of the missing/stolen time and the returns of the JSA and Legion.
