Default Does Marvel have any good spy/espionage series these days?

It use to be that Marvel had Black Widow as a great source for spy/espionage stories that weren't too overblown with super-humans and stuff. (S.H.I.E.L.D., on the other hand, sometimes had the human side get lost with superheroes, all the ultra-cool gizmos, world-ending threats, etc.)
Now that we're getting the Legacy relaunches, what books seem like they may be more about espionage than just spandex-clad battle after battle?

Yeah, Black Widow was the last good one I remember. For awhile, there were a few really good ones, too, like the Spider-Woman mini by Bendis and Maleev and The Secret Avengers by Brubaker and then later Warren Ellis. As much as I've agreed with many of their decisions over the last few years, I really wish they'd give us a spy series along these lines again.
Keep in mind that you have about as much chance of changing my mind as I do of changing yours.

With SHIELD destroyed, I don't think they'll be focusing on spy stuff for a while. Your best bets are probably Tales of Suspense (Bucky and Hawkeye investigating someone killing Black Widow's enemies), and Secret Warriors (led by ex-SHIELD agent Quake). But both will probably have more of a superhero slant.

Secret Warriors has potential. My guess is it'll have spy moments but won't be a dedicated spy book.

But what will Secret Warriors be like later on?
Wasn't it still Daisy and some Inhuman / mutants recently?

Winter Soldier would probably be your man.

Is the Fury book any good.

Well, it just started as a Secret Empire tie-in. It's an Inhuman book, but a mixture of spy stuff with Daisy (particularly right now) and Karnak (with some weird stuff going on with him) and superheroic stuff from people like Ms. Marvel. But there's still a little bit of that idea of idealism placed in compromising situations. Supposedly some other characters (possibly mutants) will be joining soon.

I know covers can be deceiving, but I just don't really get the type of "spy / espionage" feel I was hoping for with that.

(No matter what issue #8's variant cover may be based on.)

I can't believe it took so many posts before the incredible Nick Fury book to be mentioned.

The thing about the Nick Fury series by Robinson is . . . it's dead, Jim.

I believe #6 (released last week?) was the last issue.
(Robinson is now writing Wonder Woman for DC.)

So it's not really involved with the Legacy relaunches.
(I may look into the tpb collection, which is due out in late November.)

Saw this was a bit old so decided to bump. Any recent suggestions? Maybe a specific Black Widow or Mistique within 5 years or so?

Well, there's Tales of Suspense's Legacy revival, which was pretty much all about Bucky and Hawkeye (Clint) tracking down a series of assassinations more-or-less identical to how Black Widow would carry out hers. Won't go into details, because it gets somewhat confusing, but it does delve a lot into Natasha's history with both Bucky and Clint and ultimately leaves her in a potentially interesting place that could be used as a springboard into future stories, at least to me.
