Default What is The Best Comic Book Movie Character Adaptation

Title says it all, but it can mean two things: "most faithful," or "best interpretation."

    Two rules here:
    • You can suggest multiples, but just spitting a list is Lame. Offer a reason.
    • We're talking Characters here, not Films. So This Guy In S*** Film over That Guy in Shoulda-Got-A-Palme D'Or is totally legit

So. Your call: what's The Best?

Steve Rogers has been amazing, and Thor has had a fantastic arc.

Watching Chris Evans as Captain feels like the comic version and he has interesting stories.

Still tepid. Think deep and be explicit.

They are completely ripped from the comic pages.

    1) The characters from 300 and Watchmen.
    2) Deadpool.
    3) X-23.

Thin, but as there's rationale, okay.

"most faithful," and "best interpretation." are different things. Also most of the comic character's image is keep changing over time.

    Mine:

    Christopher Reeve's Superman
    Helen Slater's Supergirl
    Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman
    Charles Xavier
JJJ from the old Spider Man series

Micky Rourke's Marv in Sin City.
It has so much more of an impact when you physically LOOK like the character to begin with. Marv don't wear no mask either (unless you count the bandages) so there are much fewer opportunities to stick a stunt-man into a costumed cape in a live action movie. He was charming at times and all of his stilted dialogue torn right from the book worked.
Beefing up the old home security, huh?
    You bet yer ass.

Chris Evans as Captain America. He needs a few more solo films, preferably with the Russo Brothers.

    George Reeves as Clark Kent/Superman.
