Yeah but then again Thanos was kind of stupid with some of the stones he had. He turned Mantis and Drax into swish cheese but then brought them back, when he was fighting Ironman I was wondering why he didn't just turn stuff into bubbles or thin air. Devoe plays no games and will kill on site all music murder style.

Evil Speedster #3 with armor was at least capable of suffering genuine setbacks at several points throughout the season without having to contrive crap like "he can't predict feelings!", despite spending the majority of the season accounting for emotions just fine because whoops! We just realized we wrote ourselves into a corner with making this guy completely unbeatable so we need to ass pull a reason for victory.

DeVoe has done nothing but smarmily make the heroes look like complete incompetents again and again and again, while doing things like straight up spending an episode demonstrating that a heartfelt moment between Barry and Ralph about the nature of heroism accomplished nothing but getting Ralph killed for not killing the Thinker when he had the chance. It has been a depressing, pointless and frustrating and almost nihilistically dark season despite starting with some genuine promise, to such a degree that the inevitable "whoops it's the end of the season so the heroes have to finally win now" feels completely unearned on a level of narrative and instead just contrived.

Evil Speedster #3 was also not part of a season that is ultimately revealing itself to have an underlying and kinda ugly anti intellectual streak as a theme, which has its own problems ("you don't need your intellect to be useful Harry, just feelings!" "Science won't restore Killer Frost, just feelings!" "Intellect won't beat the Thinker, feelings will!" almost all pretty much actual dialogue.)

Honestly, Savitar was actually quite cool during his debut.
It's just that his backstory and true identity reveal was total and utter bullshit, inconsistent with everything before.

    DeVoe?
    Villain Sue at his purest.

More so than Diaz. At least Diaz got dropped by Oliver in a few hits after he finished downloading Diaz's flash drive, showing he was holding back previously. And it was highly amusing to see him having a breakdown because everything was falling apart on him. Plus everyone who was being an asshat apologized to Oliver(except Diggle, who was 110% in the wrong on every level, and it was absolutely disgusting that Oliver apologized for any part in their conflict when he was completely blameless). With Devoe? Most of the cast was so annoying(Iris shouldn't even be there, the fact that she is their "leader" is ridiculous as she has repeatedly shown to be little more than a glorified secretary/cheerleader for the team, and the only time she shows off here "leadership skillz" is when everyone else is being so stupid that it's out of character), all the while he never gets a setback outside of his wife betraying him. And in the end; he wins! season ends in a cliff hanger while his plan goes off without a hitch because he used star labs itself to launch his plan(why he didn't do that sooner, idk).

Dude is a lot like Sylar in abilities, but his character is very boring, and motivations about as laughable as Diaz's

Season's not over yet. They're going to ass pull a super contrived victory from nowhere in the next ep, I assure you.

As for Diaz, honestly, he's a nobody. He wouldn't even have been the threat he was if he hadn't piggybacked off of Cayden's work, who wouldn't even have been free in the first place if not for Felicity's stupidity in Season 5.

As was explained; it was not stupidity, it was their only chance in getting Chase at that point. She did the right thing, what happened afterwards was on the hacker group.

Didn't Chase just proceed to blow it up anyway and then have ninjas kidnap them? Even going to prison was planned, he had to tell Oliver he was going to the island.

It wasn't only Chases location that they helped out with, and besides; how much everything was planned ahead, or just done in the moment of insanity is up for debate.

Even more: Oliver and others have had DOZENS of times they could have killed or captured Diaz and... inexplicably not taken the shot.

And don't get me started on Oliver's fighting skills this season. Good god - dude has been beaten down horribly by Diaz (granted, Diaz cheated a little, but Oliver was already doing no better than 50/50 before that). He was struggling against 3 mooks.
