Next CW superhero crossover to introduce Batwoman

That was the beauty of Batwoman in the days of Elegy and her first solo. She had a complete, realized world without her direct ties to Bruce and the Batfamily. She had and was beginning to further her own cast, each with the same deliberate care in crafting real and resonant characters; Jake, Bette, Maggie.

So in that sense, it does seem that for this to happen, it was decided to bring her more into the mainstream of other DC comics and continuities. I still think there was enough out there for most fans to realize she and Bruce were more closely related than first written - and that was part of the intrigue - that she went her own way and that she only owed to "The Bat" her inspiration and intention to be as valuable a crime fighter.

What it shows is that its possible, they've done it themselves.

And they’ve done successful standalone properties as well.

Good for Young Justice but its not the gold standard in anything that you're trying to pass it off as.

It was a well written show that introduced several characters to the mainstream. That is enough. Especially these days where DC is reluctant to greenlight anything that doesn’t have Batman’s name on it.

DC has better and more successful properties and those also have strong followings. Anything DCAU related will destroy YJ in terms of following.

Like what? The Zeta Project? Those crappy follow up comics that have ranged from unremarkable to outright frustrating? Not everything with the DCAU stamp on it turned to gold. Brand only gets you so far.

Point is that what exactly is WB supposed to learn from YJ? Stuffing every character imaginable on one show?

How about not dismissing the value of new demographics.

Making excuses about toys isn't going to cut it, merchandise sales is an integral part of these type of products especially for cartoons airing on networks. Thats how they make revenue. No executive is going to look at a cartoon show continuing out of pity on a unproven streaming service because it failed on a network as the basis of they manage their films. Box office, merch, DVD, critical reception everything counts.

Except DCEU Barry and CW Barry fans are constantly fighting.

Moreover there's a real danger that the Flash film will retread atleast the first seasons plot points. There's no point in having 2 different Damian's with embargoes on each other running around. This is just handicapping both. Take a good look at Arrow and Deathstroke. Arrow cant use its arguably best character. The only reason tv Flash has been lucky is because DCEU has been a mess.

I’ve already agreed that the embargoes are stupid and pointless. There’s no need for them and they’re not even consistent in how they apply. Doesn’t mean that putting all your eggs in one basket is the only way.
I mean, by your logic we’d have never gotten a DCAU or at least not one we’re familiar with. It’d have just been a continuation of the Burton movies.

It was DC's formula well before it was Marvels. Ever heard of something called best practices? Will you start a fire with matches found in your home or will you go out in the street find 2 rocks and keep rubbing them until you start a fire all because your neighbour also uses matches.

What you’re suggesting is only using matches because your neighbour uses them while ignoring that lighters work just as well if not better.

WB failed because of their lack of planning which is exactly why we have a separate Nightwing film and tv show being made and their desire to catch up with in 2 films. The model works fine, its WB hoping to milk everything all the time thats the problem. Instead of getting Superman right they just made Krypton and are planning another prequel show.

WB would have been better off if they’d said nuts to the idea of a shared universe and just did a proper sequel to MoS. The existence of idiocy like Metropolis and Krypton are not signs that everything needs to be in the same continuity (even Marvel has cartoons in a separate continuity even if they’re mostly glorified trailers for their movies). It just means they should do what makes sense in the now instead of railroading everything to play catch-up with other people.

The theory that the arrowverse already has an active Batman is becoming more real everyday. Only a matter of time before he shows up.

Because some of the DC brokers started to see Batman as too big for the arrowverse.

Also they could have been scared of expectations. a guest appearance of batman could mean we atomically feel we the fans want a real batman live action series not something like Gotham.

A Themyscira show makes the most sense actually given it has it's own history and isn't destroyed in the present like Krypton. Hell we're getting a comic about Themyscira from kelly Sue DeConnick and Phil Jiminez.
