Oliver Coipel would be on my comic artist list but has he done much outside of House of M? and the recent relaunch of X-MEN?

He did an arc during Claremont Reloaded, ontop of Adjectiveless, HoM, and AvX. He barely made my list. It was really a toss of a coin whether to include him or not. Just wanted an even 10. haha.

I wanted to be bold enough to do ten but I had almost struggled to make five. I use to be better at this.

He's also done a nice run on Thor's previous volume and the Inhumanity one-shot.It seems like they're just relegating him to cross overs and arcs now.He really needs to be on a monthly book.Coipel's too great an artist to be doing an arc here and there ,covers and crossovers.

Who was that person that did the Emma vs Thor story in AvX Vs? That person should be a regular!
Balthier: I doubt we'll find her wanting in valor, being such an upstanding member of the insurgence.
    Ashe: Resistance.

Kaare Andrews. Also the artist of the Astonishing X-Men: Xenogenesis mini! I've been campaigning for years for him as a regular (writer or artist) on an X-Book with either Emma or Storm as part of the cast.

Jim Lee and Joe Madureira. These are the two artists who defined the X-Men for me. Unfortunately, I wasn't around to really get into the X-Men when Byrne and Cockrum were the only ones who drew the X-Men right. As much I loved Silvestri's art during Cyberforce, I missed his stuff when he was doing Uncanny.

After I came back to comics following a short hiatus, I started reading the X-Men again while Madureira was drawing the book.

I think he is really only interested in doing covers and small projects. Of all of his work, I don't think I've ever seen him do much with ongoings unless it was a really short run or guest spot.

I agree though, his Emma and Storm in the Astonishing mini was pretty great. He made Emma look like a skeev, which I enjoyed.
    I co-host a podcast about comics. Mostly it's X-Men comics of the 90's.

Andrews is currently writing, drawing, and coloring Iron Fist. Good stuff.

I wasn't reading when Mad's books when he was big, but I like his recent work and I'd like him to come back. Too bad about Logan lol.

It'd be very nice to have a poll on this thread, or even better a final count. I love speaking about artists.

Now, some second-rate artists (great narrators, all of them) that I appreciate a lot because of their modest effectiveness:

    - Bob McLeod, co-creator of The New Mutants

    - Rick Leonardi, ongoing lifesaviour

    - Ron Wagner, cool breeze for Excalibur (I wish he'd stay)

Plus: stars who didn't show up often, but who left master pieces.

    - Barry Windsor-Smith and his 'Lifedeaths" (I & II) --not forgeting 'X-Weapon'

    - Arthur Adams and his 'Asgardian Wars' --not forgeting 'Longshot' (AWESOME)

    - Steve Leialoha and his short run in The New Mutants --not forgeting the legendary 'Kitty's Fairy Tale'
