Welcome to the weekly Image dive bar, vote for stuff if you want!
Last time around an old acquintance won the poll once again, after what feels like an absence for a while. Deadly Class #34 proved victorious!
What's happening this week? Well, Barrier is ending for one. Descender's also heading for the end, with just two issues left in the tank after this week. Hack/Slash Resurrection, meanwhile, has a one-shot issue to break up the monotony. Kill or be Killed wraps up the fourth arc this week, ahead of next month's series finale that'll hopefully blow the doors off. Enough endings yet? Nah, Lazarus is also finishing a storyline (back in a while though!).
Realm, the comic I always somehow confuse with Reyn, is back for a new storyline this week, as is Royal City. Two more endings though, VS is on its penultimate issue already this week, and Warframe is wrapping up a storyline. Not sure if that's been announced to return yet.
New this week:
The Last Siege is drawn by Justin Greenwood and describes itself as a "gritty medieval war story, as a mysterious stranger arrives at a castle overrun with brutal soldiers bent on usurping the throne of the rightful heir-an 11-year-old girl." They're saying it's a spaghetti western meets game of thrones elevator pitch...
Where We Live is a one-time special graphic novel, edited & selected by JH Williams III. It's a collection of both fictional stories and eye-witness accounts of the October 1st shooting in Las Vegas last year. Meant to show the resilience of Las Vegas, but also the hardships that come with life after tragedy. It doesn't shy away from tough topics: gun control, mental health stigmatisation and the senselessness of glorified violence.
All proceeds will benefit the recovery of survivors of the shooting.
