Which force wins out? Cap gets his Vibranium shield here. Battle takes place in the airport from Civil War.

In theory, the Asgardian mooks should be a serious threat, as nigh immortal warriors with a passion for adventure. But we go by feats, and the on-screen feats of average Asgardians don't seem to measure up to those of Team Cap.

Like, modern day assault rifles were tearing through Zombie Asgardians in armor via body shots. Sure zombie may imply less physical durability, but still. Average Asgardians are kinda meh.

Yeah, thé assault rifle stuff in Ragnarok was stupid, it existed only as a hommage to Skurge's last stand in 616. Sif shrugged that level of stuff in AoS and is also significantly stronger than Cap. Now, her being beyond an average Asgardian is fine, but she wouldn't be so far beyond.

I dunno, I think you are implying that Sif would be the equivalent of a top Asgardian athlete or a "peak Asgardian." Which would make sense if we knew Asgardians functioned like humans, but Odin, Thor, and Loki all seem to break the physiological rules of their respective species pretty hard.

I'm inclined to think you are right and am mostly just playing devil's advocate.

Well, Valkyrie was perhaps portrayed as more skilled than average, but she does again suggest decent baseline physicality.

She tossed a dude like 100 feet with one hand and was leaping from aircraft to aircraft.

Hogun was tossed through a concrete wall and came off ok.

That assault rifle didn't seem like a regular one tbh. It shattered that rock Spike holding back the refugee ship. That's not something rifles can do.

She clearly isn’t. She uses her shield to block hand gun bullets and her armor takes a shotgun to the side.

No Asgardian ever shows to be bulletproof proof save Loki, who is not technically one.

Ok, so not bulletproof. But bulletproof armor seems fair. Her strength feat of shoving that trailer seems about right for what Valkyrie and crew can do.

If it gets to a contest of force, Asgardians could handle even Cap in terms of brute strength. But...

I think Team Cap takes this. That is a lot of firepower raining down on the gods. Falcon, Bucky and Widow can do work and put them in a defensive posture from distance. Cap and Panther may be a touch weaker, but they have better feats of speed and combat skill in general. Panthers new suit can discharge energy and disrupt the groups cohesion. His claws can also cut through their armor, although in fairness they could slice him up as well.

There was that Asgardian secretly living on Earth as a college professor who was a common soldier. I think he was punching through walls and the like.

But, due to standard equipment, the Avengers team likely still wins.

Valkyrie, Sif, Heimdall, and the Warriors Three seemed a cut above the average Asgardian too.

He also caught a knife wielded by a skilled human (Ward) in his bare hands and bent it backwards. Also strong enough to break out of handcuffs with his fingertips. So no conclusive bulletproof feats, but certainly knifeproof.

So that's the baseline. Your basic asgardian mook is impervious to knives and punches through walls.
